If any of you had any ambitions to join the wwe creative team. It's not that hard it seems.

Re: WWE Thread

Thu Sep 10, 2009 9:49 pm

WWE Countdown, perhaps? A series of Beat the Clock matches to challenge one of the world champions. Not that I'd like to see it, but it doesn't seem all that far-fetched.

"It's the final countdown !!!!" lol.

In John Travolta voice

"Oh My God"

That is the inspiration for the southpark n*ggers, naggers episode.

Re: WWE Thread

They should take the creative out of creative team. Seriously, what the fuck was wrong with Armaggedon, No Mercy and Unforgiven? Only change I understood was getting rid of One Night Stand, the others don't make sense.
TLC and HIAC are no fucking PPV names.

Re: WWE Thread

Fri Sep 11, 2009 4:28 am

I'll admit, the idea of a full PPV being HIAC or TLC or even submission matches is a good one im my eyes. I used to do that in No Mercy with the create a PPV mode.

However changing the names is just (N) wrong (N)

Re: WWE Thread

One Night Stand, too, is a great PPV name. When they scrapped Vengeance I had this idea that they will be doing a lot of PPV name changes.

WWE 30-Man Over-The-Top-Rope-Battle-Royal, anyone? Or Wrestlefest XXVI?

Re: WWE Thread

Fri Sep 11, 2009 3:39 pm

Or WWE Over the Top, and WWE Grand Stage XXVI.

Lilian Garcia will be leaving WWE. Shes until 21 Sept if I am not mistaken. (no more BACKSLASH, UNITED STATES HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION intro)

Bring back The Fink

Re: WWE Thread

Fri Sep 11, 2009 4:07 pm

Why did Fink had to go in the first place?

My contribution to the name game would be WWE PPV.

Re: WWE Thread

Fri Sep 11, 2009 7:09 pm

I guess they figured Lilian Garcia was easier on the eye; and they're right. However, I too love Fink's announcing, particularly his announcement of new champions. I believe he still does the house shows though and of course, he did the announcing for Bob Barker's "Price is RAW" segments this past Monday. I reckon he should announce at all the PPVs, or at least the Big Four.

Honestly I got used to listening to Lilian's epic intros. Especially the "Shawn Cena" one from WrestleMania 22. But they should get a better replacement since it IS Raw. Fink plz.

And I would like to see Chimel back on SmackDown.

EDIT: Unforgiven :(

One of the best PPV intros I've ever seen:

That was fast, Jeffry.

Jeff Hardy was arrested on Friday in Moore County in North Carolina.

Hardy is charged with felony trafficking in opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possesion of drug paraphrenalia.

And as for MVP's finisher,

I'd say pick something from here.

As disappointed as the WWE would have been not to re-sign Hardy recently, I'm sure they're privately very glad he's not under contract at the moment.

2:05 - nice. I miss those triple moves like the ones done by Eddie Guerrero (three amigos) and Chris Jericho.
3:52 - holy shite.

I say this with full unbiased objectivity that I agree on a MikeMan section ban, no matter how unfortunate that may be.

wow, now i know where a lot of the moves in the No Mercy, WM2000, WCW games came from

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Sep 14, 2009 12:43 pm

Well, yeah. It's pretty much Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 with WWE characters so they included most, if not all, of the moves.

Did the Undertaker really tapped out on Punk's Anaconda Vise? I've seen the match and Im confuse.

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Sep 14, 2009 5:48 pm

Should've seen that one coming with Breaking Point being in Montreal, a nod to the original Montreal Screwjob in the main event. I guess it's as good a way as any to keep the belt on Punk and not have Taker tap out, looks like Teddy Long will be a heel GM and suitably impress Vince's on-screen Mr McMahon in that angle.

christian. wrote:Did the Undertaker really tapped out on Punk's Anaconda Vise? I've seen the match and Im confuse.

No, the angle is that he got screwed like Bret Hart did in 1997. As I said it's as good a way as any to have Punk retain while protecting that aspect of Taker's character but references to the Montreal Screwjob have become overdone.

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Sep 14, 2009 10:50 pm

Felt the same way about the Montreal re-Screwjob, seems like in the storyline, this is what Teddy is talking about.

Felt off about the WWE championship title change, anyway. I could hope however, that the new belt posted in the link a few posts above will be used.

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Sep 14, 2009 11:08 pm

next WWE PPV is called "Hell in a Cell". Undertaker would probably win it in an "undertaker-like" since it IS hell in a cell. (another ppv name change). they probably let punk win it since wwe is now making the title reigns longer since back in 2007-8, most of the time, championships were only held by one person for a maximum of one ppv. besides, that rivalry between punk and undertaker was too unestablished yet. that's what happens when ppvs are coming rapidly. i thought yesterday was just the great american bash. time goes by fast indeed.... (right Andrew?)

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Sep 14, 2009 11:11 pm

just read the results.....um questions

if this was supposed to be a submission only PPV, why did Kane and Christian get wins via pinfall?
