Argh. I was forced to shift to an nVidia card because of this game, though my system could barely maintain 30 fps on High PhysX and 16xQ AA when I played the demo. I do hope they make some more improvements to the PhysX software and the Forceware driver before the game comes out in mid-September. The latest Forceware (190.62) already has some optimizations specifically for this game, but hopefully they can still turn it up a notch.

I love how they used PhysX in such a dim environment. But the High PhysX setting is still too taxing for midrange PC's.

Someone with an education would've constructed that sentence properly.

Bad news for the game industry but I guess good news for some gamers, Arkham Asylum for PC can already be found in some warez forums, 2 weeks before its release. But no game will break The Sims 3 record, one month before it got on stores officially.

There's another reason for a delay. Rocksteady can now port the "Play as Joker" mode into the PC platform to have the "original release" different from the leaked one.

Fucking piracy is the reason we're getting more and more bug-ridden half-assed ports, and why PC gaming is slowly dying, so fuck that.
I just pre-ordered my copy, can't wait to receive it.

He's referring to the PC version I'm guessing.

Sources?

And the original release is already better than the leaked one, for one thing, it actually works right.

Joker is PS3 exclusive.

Sorry about that, I didn't read the whole thing.
Sources?

Apparently, it's here: http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=95347
It seems to mention that the DLC will concern the 3 platforms.

EDIT: the PC version also got a 9.3 with IGN.
EDIT2: actually, it seems to be the same article as for the X360 collector edition, with a few additions at the end to mention that it's on PC. Pretty lazy on IGN's part.
EDIT3: Gamespot is giving it a 9.0 on PC.

Yes, that's the DLC with the new challenge maps. I have yet to see anything say The Joker is going to show up on the other two platforms.

26% of the way through apparently. (Though I played it for a few hours and have been in all but one of the buildings.) Easily GOTY so far. (Not that's there been any real competition this year.)

Definitely Batmetroid. Which makes it hard to topple this year. Metroid with a Batman skin? Potentially greatest idea ever.

Voice work is hot stuff.

conroy and hamill never fails to deliver on their end benji... :) the story (inspired by the graphic novel + pacing), voicework (hamill, conroy and the gang) gameplay (freeflow combat, stealth, heck even the riddle solving), and art direction (dark, gritty characters, atmosphere and environments) were all well executed... the game deserves every accolade that it gets, it just became one of my favorite games this current gen... batman fans should not be the only ones to try this game, fans of good quality and well produced games definitely should too... This game is addictive as hell. I've been late for work the past two days because of this.

I pretty much enjoyed the boss fight with Bane. Amazing, amazing so far. (Y) (Y) (Y)

I finally received the game. Looking good so far, however, unlike the demo version, they forgot to include the option to turn on PhysX in the PC version. From what is being said on the forums, it looks like it was actually intentional, in order to hurt piracy (the game was apparently leaked a few weeks ago). They should release a patch to enable that feature soon.
Nothing major, but it still goes to show how PC gamers always get screwed on some level... :?

Also, I really wish it offered the option to support other gamepads. I know the fucking X360 gamepad is pretty much the standard now, but my PS2-style Logitech works perfectly and I should be able to use it.

EDIT: apparently, there was actually a patch available on release date, 9/15, through GFWL. I'll give it a shot now...
