The Toronto Raptors have traded small forward Devean George for Golden State Warriors' guard Marco Belinelli, a league source confirmed Wednesday night.

Good move, hopefully Belinelli could do better than Kapono.

I can't believe all it took for Belinelli was for Devean George of all people (well yes some cash on the side but that's minor). Colangelo actually turned an old past his prime guy for a young player with a bit of potential at least.

I dont get why the Warriors need George. He's a guy a contender wants on his roster because he can come in, play D, and hit the occasional three. Not a guy for big minutes though.
Belinelli is really underrated as he did not show his real game since entering the NBA. This kid really has game. Maybe he will find a way to show it in Toronto.
Kind of feels like a steal right now for me. I even would go so far and say that Belinelli will attract some attention this season.

Belinelli had superb games in last year's summer league... hope he gets a good place in Toronto's roster.

I like this pick-up. I'm assuming it's plan B of BC since it appears that there's little to no talk about Delfino being a Raptor anymore, although I think that Belinelli has the potential to be a better scorer than Delfino would.

Meh, Devean George is an old guy that can't play, and Belinelli is a young guy that can't play. Sure, Toronto Raptors got the better end of the deal here, but I don't see why they are gushing over it. They traded nothing and got very little in return. A no-risk, low reward situation.

Puzzling trade. The problem with Colangelo's system is that he's based it around trying to swing foreigners like the Spurs do, but that model only works when you've got a team that's good enough to compete without those young players for a few years while they develop overseas. Belinelli works pretty well in the system the Raptors are playing with, and he won't be amazing but still, who's to say he won't become a decent contributor off the bench? Kid's got a sweet shot.

Maybe that's why Golden State didn't like him.
Even if he doesn't play it's a great deal. Beli & Bargs, Jack & Bosh, pretty funny actually.
Still think DeRozan should start.
