Talk about NBA 2K9 here, as well as all previous games in the NBA 2K series.

Personally I would not go back to LIVE if they came out with a PC version in the future since it was evident that the past couple of years EA Sports had no commitment on producing a quality basketball game for the PC users. It was really a turn-off that EA decided to drop the ball on the PC community but I guess it was a blessing in disguise since 2K Sports stepped up and gave the PC users their basketball fix with 2K9. Trust me, back in the day I was all for the NBA LIVE series and supported them by buying their games every year. I have had all the LIVE PC games since 97 but 2K has shown me what basketball should look like with their fluid animations and their attention to small detail and I cannot imagine going back to LIVE with their weird/awkward player movements and unrealistic body structures.
I'm just wondering what other PC gamers think of the LIVE series now and if they would go back to it if LIVE was to make PC games again or that they would stick to 2K Sports from now on.

I'd probably stick with 2K series. I'm not saying I wouldn't think about purchasing NBA Live, if it surprisingly came out and reviews were really good, but I don't see that coming in near future. NBA Live was the 1st basketball game I played and at the time I liked it. Then they made the same thing again, and again.. So I don't see a good reason to return to Live series, especially after 2K have done a terrific job with NBA 2K9.

If I had the money, I would buy both, but, probably won't, so I'm gonna stick with 2K for now.

EA will never make a NG basketball game for pc.So many years thousands of football fans over Europe ask EA for a NG football game and the company gives them a fifa game which is a port from the mobile version..
I'm fed up with EA's policy and i can't go back to live even if it's NG.I respect companies that respect their customers.

If it got rave reviews by everyone, I would try to at least play it and see what it's like.
I have a long history with 2k (I just didn't know it). I first played Live in 1995. Around 1999 I rented on Sega Saturn a game called NBA Action but only got to play it for a few days. I really enjoyed it after years of playing Live. I liked the differnces that it had from Live and it felt more like real bastketball to me.
Fast foward to 2 weeks ago, and I saw 2k9 for the first time and it blew me away. The best thing is that it has the same quality that NBA Action had. I looked it up and it turns out that NBA Action turned into 2k. Sega Sports was bought out by 2k Sports. I wish I had of known this sooner. It's so many years that I have been missing out. It's amazing how it gives me the same feeling that NBA Action did. I really love Sega games, always have and 2k9 still feels like a Sega game. So it's hard to ever want to go back after years of playing Live. But if the game was really really good, I would at least try it. But for now it's 2k9 and 2k10.

Don't build your hopes to be let down. . .
EA won't release Live in PC in the near future. . .
2KSports should be supported by all PC gamers.
They make everything so clear in Basketball gaming. . .

NBA Live and EA Sports really disappointed me from 2002 onward. I am completely fine with 2k and would not purchase NBA Live as long as NBA 2k is being made for the PC.
