My NBA Live 08 keeps on pausing!

Hello!... My nba live keeps on pausing..Especially when in Practive mode...4 seconds and it will pause,..It will return to..
RESUME GAME
SETTINGS
INSTANT REPLAY
Like that and when you click Resume game..after 4 seconds..the game will pause again..

NOTE: I didn't press the ESC button but it is pausing...What ill I need to do..I already re-installed it but it still pauses..Tell me why?

Something's obviously continuing to trigger the pause function, if you're using a gamepad/controller it could be malfunctioning or just need recalibrating. If you do use a controller and you've got other games you use it with, maybe try them out and see if you're encountering any weird issues. That would definitely point to a controller problem.

Then why it is every 4 second and if you press the shoot button even if u tap it..It's slow release(like pumping in the air, like when you tap the shoot button long)that's the shot look's like..I mean there is really a problem that i really need to see..Please tell me if you encounter it..

Well, like I said, maybe it's a controller issue. Either there's a physical fault with the controller or it needs to be recalibrated. Like I said, it's worth trying out in any other games you might play to see if you get strange behaviour. If so, it might be worth recalibrating or reinstalling your controller.

Try having a game of teh cpu vs cpu run and see if the game still pauses automatically. If it does, unplug your controller from your computer. If the game no longer pauses, then you know there is a problem that has to do with the controller. Try changing USB slots, installing or updating the official drivers for it or recalibrating like Andrew said.

I tried it the CPU vs CPU thing..Iw as shocked ..Because the game pausing isn't a factor but...No one is moving like in the jumpball no players are jumping...and the referee will rethrow it again and again there are no players jumping in the jumpball and vice versa that will repat and repae and repeat...

I'd already did that..

Try backing up any saves you want to keep, as well as any patches, then make sure there's no NBA Live 08 related files left in your Documents folder or under the Program Files folder, then reinstall. I doubt it's a bug because something like that would've been widely discovered/reported with NBA Live 08 PC having been out for a couple of years now, so I'm inclined to think there's something somewhere on your computer that's causing the issue.
