To his credit, he has gotten past the "What is he doing?" schtick when it's quite obvious what's happening.

Still have gotten to watch the Wrestlemania match of Taker and HBK. Demn

Still not over it?

It's simply the best match so far this year.

Re: WWE Thread

One of the best I've ever seen. I know that's a phrase that gets thrown around too easily no matter what we're talking about but I'd honestly give it that much credit.

Re: WWE Thread

it's the reason why i am still trying to watch wrestling now

Re: WWE Thread

Me too. Because RAW is shown a day later here, I find myself reading the results on WNW and if it sounds like a good show I'll watch it (or just flick over at the point of the show where I've read something interesting happens) but with my favourite wrestler taking some time off, the current state of the announce teams and the angles they've got going it's difficult.

Jericho vs. Mysterio from The Bash is right up there for me. Bunch of good ones in Japan so far as well.

Andrew, your favourite colour commentator is going to leave the WWE.

Read here.

Re: WWE Thread

Sat Jul 11, 2009 9:52 pm

Yeah, I read about that on WNW. That'll be a shame for the WWE, but that's assuming he gets elected. Last time he ran for mayor, he finished a distant third in the race.

Re: WWE Thread

Sat Jul 11, 2009 10:30 pm

I think he might do well this time around. Electing celebs seems pretty trendy.

And if he didn't have vince yelling in his ear every 2 seconds, I bet he wouldn't have wanted to leave.

Re: WWE Thread

Sat Jul 11, 2009 10:54 pm

Perhaps, but he was asked about that after Foley left and he didn't seem to have a problem with it. Based on Foley's run with the title in TNA, I'm guessing his departure also had something to do with wanting to be a more active performer and a main event guy, which the WWE probably wasn't too keen on.

Re: WWE Thread

Sat Jul 11, 2009 11:01 pm

Didn't he have 3 marriages or something broken up already? I think he had enough yelling to last a lifetime from that alone. and if someone from the media would ask if your boss was a dick, you would say he is one?

Foley in tna is proving to be entertaining to say the least.

Re: WWE Thread

Sat Jul 11, 2009 11:11 pm

At least two, possibly three. Maybe he is sick of Vince McMahon in his earpiece, but then perhaps Foley is exaggerating. It's not the first time he's run for mayor so he's probably just interested in a political career and thinks he can make a difference, it probably has little to do with Vince McMahon. Whatever the case may be, it'll be a shame if they can't reunite him with JR since as I mentioned I don't much care for the current announce teams.

Re: WWE Thread

You are not getting into the young people movement in the wwe, be it wrestlers or other talent?

And you are probably right about the king. I read JR saying king was genuinly interested in the wellbeing of people in memphis. which is nice.

Re: WWE Thread

Not so much, but I'm trying to give it a go. I caught the match between R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin a few weeks back which really impressed me, they're both a couple of names I'd like to see elevated.

Re: WWE Thread

Truth is a nice guy and a great wrestler. About Shelton, I never understood why he stagnated. I mean it's not like Bret Hart had killer mic skills either.

Any Pinoy here who paid an expensive ticket to see the Smackdown-ECW tour last night? Shadowgrin, Lean, Null17?

I am just curious, how much is the ticket in a regular WWE show the we see on TV? Jao, youve been in RAW right?

Re: WWE Thread

i went to a house show, when i was like 12

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Jul 12, 2009 2:04 am

Sucks that King have to leave. :(

Anyway, I had plans on getting a ticket for yesterday's house show. Thing is, it's like triple the price from that of the 2005 show, which I never attended onto as well.

Assuming he wins. If he doesn't, there's probably a good chance he'll stay with the WWE.

Re: WWE Thread

So let's get a petition to boycott his candidacy in Memphis.

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Jul 12, 2009 4:09 pm

I'm still not sure he'd win anyway. Best of luck to him, but if he does end up staying in the WWE I'd like to see him paired up with JR again on a permanent basis.

Syvel Lacson sent in the following:

CM Punk fans started picking fights with Jeff Hardy fans at today's ECW/SmackDown house show in Manila, Philippines. An organizer for the event that works with management of the arena was also said to have been offended by some off air comments Chris Jericho made towards the crowd.

We have hard-out fans here in the Philippines. Even the management got offended by Jericho.

You get offended by someone who speaks his mind? Still shitting in the ground over there?
