On Monday night at the Nike LeBron James Skills Academy in Akron, Ohio, NBA star Lebron James was dunked on huge by Xavier’s Jordan Crawford with a vicious two-hander. Unfortunately you won’t be seeing the replay of the dunk anytime soon. According to CBS Sports who was in attendance and filming the game, the Nike officials upon convening with Lebron after the play confiscated all of the cameramen’s tapes from their cameras. Here is what CBSSports.com had to say about it:

Turns out, there were at least two cameras rolling Monday night when Crawford dunked on James during a pick-up game here at the LeBron James Skills Academy. It was a two-handed jam, the kind that would’ve circulated quickly on YouTube. But Nike officials eliminated that possibility shortly after the dunk happened by allegedly confiscating tapes from various cameramen.

Freelance photographer Ryan Miller was one of the cameramen shooting the game. He told CBSSports.com that Nike Basketball Senior Director Lynn Merritt took his tape. “He just said, ‘We have to take your tape,’” Miller said. “They took it from other guys, too.” Worth noting is that there is no policy against filming at the LeBron James Skills Academy, and Miller said he had been filming all day without incident. Nobody ever told him to stop. Nobody ever said there was a problem … until after Crawford dunked on James. “LeBron called Lynn over and told him something,” Miller said. “That’s how I knew his name was Lynn. LeBron said, ‘Hey, Lynn. Come here.’” Minutes later, Miller said Merritt demanded his tape.

Maybe the footage one day will surface in a Nike commercial about Lebron’s failures, like that Michael Jordan commercial about all of the buzzer beaters he missed. Sort of a ‘you must first fail to learn from your mistakes’ type motivational spot. But until then, we’ll all just have to imaging how sick the dunk must have been to serve it up on King James.

He's just making himself look more like a tosser. Hope Andrew Bogut, Sean Marks & every other white guy in the league dunks on him during season & it gets big hits on YouTube.

Seems like this isn't spoof news, so I'll go ahead and remark on it. Not to take anything away from LeBron or Nike, both of whom are doing pretty well for themselves, but this is just ridiculous. The word is out, even if the tapes aren't, and it doesn't do LeBron any favours. Between this incident and what took place after the Cavaliers were eliminated in the Eastern Conference Finals, he's not doing much for his image and is revealing a rather unpleasant "dark side" that is a stark contrast to his usual public image that seems quite affable.

haha. how sad. what i'm curious to know is what did James for the rest of the game. it's one thing to get dunked on. shit happens. if he didn't own that dude/the game after the dunk...

the main reason i never will be a lebron fan is because the Media is just over advertising him. NBA's top plays always involve lebron even if other were way better. for even a slightly educated basketball fan this type of over exposure to lebron is a turnoff. Plus lebron is coming off as a cry baby. first he wont shake hands after ECFs and now this.

Everyone gets dunked on at some point in their career, even the guy in Andrew's avatar. Nike just doesn't want LeBron's image to be shattered by some school kid because the "King" just got dunked on, but by removing the clip people might actually criticize them even more.

I bet LeBron is embarrassed about it too. Really embarrassed.

Why is LeBron such a baby? So he can dunk on other people, but cannot accept it when he got dunked on? If he just let it go and look at it as a fun thing, he would look so much more mature and admirable.

I'm guessing LeBron James has some type of secret agents with that fancy pen thinggy to make everyone forget because I sure as hell don't remember that.

I do, Bogut went up for a 2 hander, LeBron went up to block it and Bogut kinda pulled his arms back further over his head a bit and dunked it as LeBron went underneath the rim. It wasn't a body to body poster but he dunked on him and I'm claiming it

I do remember Grizzlies' rookie Pau Gasol dunking over the cocky Kevin Garnett & the expression on KG's face was priceless
