Welcome Ron Ron in L.A.Lakers dude
Fri Jul 03, 2009 6:52 pm
You're officially in my blacklist now, OG.
Fri Jul 03, 2009 7:43 pm
Great signing if you're not a Lakers' fan
Fri Jul 03, 2009 7:51 pm
Since he is sure to become a Lakers what would his new number be? Im thinking it will still be between 90-96
Fri Jul 03, 2009 7:55 pm
A lot of fans are telling Artest to wear number 73 on his facebook page. I have no idea why.
Fri Jul 03, 2009 10:21 pm
73, eh?

Anyways, it's kinda a big deal for them. I'll just hate L.A. more.
Fri Jul 03, 2009 10:25 pm
still... i don't get the Rodman comparison... Artest is a wannabe though
Fri Jul 03, 2009 10:28 pm
He's not a wannabe. Artest isn't getting a lot of rebounds.
Fri Jul 03, 2009 10:37 pm
Yeh.. that's the reason why he got those ridiculous haircuts and outrageous jersey numbers... he can't make it through stats

Very nice, we basically got Ron For Ariza, and that`s a "steal", Ariza will never be a superstar or what else, he is good but not that good, he will be good defensive roll player and thats all, LA made him what he is for now, pretty big market hype. Anyways, Ron doesn`t need to shoot that mutch in LA, in HOU he was one of the first scorers + he always wanted to play in Phil Jackson team and with Kobe. And for 33mil for 5 years or 18mils for 3 years is VERY CHEAP for a player like Artest. Now we need to get Odom back and LAL has it all, hope to see Boston in the finals again.

LA Lakers will lead technical fouls in upcoming season

Things are getting interesting.
I predict :
Eastern conference finals: Magic vs Cavs
Western conference finals: Lakers vs Spurs
I quote myself next season if this becomes true.

well i would say :
artest=poor man's pippen
odom=poor man's rodman
Thats because Odom got skills in rebounding such as Rodman did and Artest is outstanding Defender such as Pippen

BS, two different teams, two different eras, no one of them are a poor man`s replacements.
And if Boston gets Rasheed and he fits in then it`s all Boston in East.
Sat Jul 04, 2009 1:10 am
Sad Ariza went, but I thought Artest and Kobe hates eachother?
Sat Jul 04, 2009 1:45 am
I doubt Rasheed is going to fit anywhere. It may be time for him to retire.

I disagree. Artest had 4 technicals throughout the entire 08-09 season. He's on his best behaviour this past few years and that will likely continue.

he said that if he wouldn't receive enough money he would retire but if there is an offer which gives him satisfaction of enough salary he will accept it. sorry for my english, there are many mistakes

well we don't know cause we got situation when kobe and ron ron are trash talking with themselves and we got situation when after the game they're laughing and smuggling up to themselves so i'm a little bit confused
BS, two different teams, two different eras, no one of them are a poor man`s replacements.
yeah i know but
kingjames23 compared it and if we could compare it [we couldn't] you see how it would look like in my opinion

one more time, sorry for my mistakes, my english isn't unbelievable

Having signed Ariza, the Lakers would have gotten a quicker, more athletic, younger and quieter Artest. Rockets did well replacing Artest.

These things often get ironed out when former adversaries become teammates. If both sides are willing to leave the past behind them, the common goal tends to unite them.
Sat Jul 04, 2009 2:04 pm
Kobe and ron don't hate each other they just are great competitors. If they both combine their competitive talent with an already great Lakers team, i see a repeat in the near future.
Sat Jul 04, 2009 2:10 pm
Or what about next season?
Yeesh, the Lakers look awfully far away from the rest.
Sat Jul 04, 2009 2:23 pm
If Ron wants to win the championship he will listen to Kobe, it's Kobe's team. They all have the same goal so this is where foes becomes friends.
