Great acquisitions by the Pistons.

55 posts and Andrew didn't post yet, that's clearly a bad sign.

I'm not benji but I'll provide yous a link to their stats.
2008-2009. Here. Stuckey, Rip, and Gordon
I placed Stuckey because he'll be in the backcourt along with Gordon. Hamilton because Gordon might eventually replace him if Rip gets traded or because Rip is the guy Gordon will sub in the court.
Figure the data , I'm not benji and babysit you bitches (and I don't have the patience to make tables as of now).

I think Detroit got a Turkoglu-lite with Charlie V.

I ment Cleveland against Detroit, not Chicago. But never mind.. Videos you posted made me laugh.. I guess you didn't see game 2 of ECF this year.

Well, I'm not going to get into it.

But he's obviously efficient.

I'm interested on what benji thinks about this since he is a Pistons fan.
I wonder if he thinks this is a bad idea and probably with Andrew in the bathtub right now contemplating cutting their wrists.

as for the Bulls letting Gordon go for nothing, it really makes you wonder....they pay Deng about $11mil per year, but if I were a Bulls' fan, I'd prefer it going to Gordon....if they weren't willing to pay for him, they should've dealt him....I guess the gamble didn't pay off....Paxson is not looking good....

hey leave us bulls fanboys alone. it keeps idiots like Lamrock away

i agree Paxson has been shit since he gave Ben Wallace that big contract (actually you should give credit to Pax for finding a taker for hughes despite Isiah Thomas not being in the league). Getting Rose saved his job. trading for Miller/Salmons has been his best move post Ben Wallace signing

losing Gordon was Paxson & owner Reinsdorf's fault. they backed themselves into a corner by giving those contracts to Deng & Hinrch. i honestly don't think the bulls brass wanted Gordon on the team. as Benji posted in the bulls thread, the bulls didn't even contact Gordon's camp once negotiations officiatlly started or after Detroit made their offer... last year bulls management also pulled their initial offer of the table even after Gordon agreed to it. lol WTF

Lamrock wrote:A great steal? He's an undersized inefficient chucker. Sure, he's talented offensively, but he is inefficient, has no playmaking abilities and is a defensive liability. I like the idea of having him come off the bench for the MLE, but not as a first option on offense with a star contract.

Like the Charlie V signing though. What a bargain.

Top 10 all time NBA 3PT% is an inefficient chucker

Re: Detroit Land Gordon

We've been talking about this in the Bulls thread since yesterday, so I already knew. A lot of you were also waiting for me to post at what was my 2:30 in the morning, and with my sleeping patterns much better than they used to be, that's just not happening.

Well...what can you say? I'm tremendously disappointed and I think it's a huge mistake by the Bulls. The fact that they didn't even contact him is ludicrous, almost unforgiveable especially when re-signing him was apparently their priority. Nice way to show it...needless to say, I don't have much faith in Forman doing a better job than Paxson.

Ah, Paxson...it doesn't seem that long ago since we were all saying "In Pax We Trust". A little blasphemous, but he seemed to be turning things around and after the disaster that was Krause's attempt at rebuilding things were looking promising. But then came the Ben Wallace signing, the huge extensions for Deng and Hinrich, hiring a completely inexperienced coach...sure, they lucked out in the lottery and Rose appeared to have saved Pax's job, and the trade that brought Brad Miller and John Salmons to town was a fine move too. But this is ridiculous, letting your top scorer and a key player leave with nothing in return. Obviously that's the risk you take with an unrestricted free agent, but if you're not going to keep him why not trade him while you still could? No players, no picks, one less core player and trade asset. One huge blunder. Again.

I'm still a Bulls fan, I always will be. I hope Gordon succeeds, I still think he's a fine player and since I'm grasping for a silver lining here it would be great to see him prove people wrong and perhaps even demonstrate why Pax and his cronies shouldn't be in the front office anymore. To me, it's the last straw for them. I'd be saying "Thanks for the 1993 championship, but it's time to clean out your desk". I have very little confidence in their ability to improve the roster or their vision for doing so at this point.

There you go guys. :)

Re: Detroit Land Gordon

It's about all that needs to be said. I had a feeling it might happen the moment they started messing him about the last couple of years and his unrestricted free agency loomed this offseason. It sucks, but hanging Paxson's portrait on the wall and tossing darts it - metaphorically or otherwise - doesn't do any good. So a snarky sig it is.

indeed, and Paxson isn't the only one at fault here, Jerry Reinsdorf was/is basically saying "i aint gonna give no luxury tax, and i could care less if you don't have a good roster"
but even so, their 50 million dollar offer was accepted, i can't figure out why they would take it off the table.... :cussing:
