or the default roster unpatched ( originally from purchased nba 2k9)?

the default roster may have flaws but i disagree user-made rosters are that good. afterall, they are also affected by the user's/maker's biases.

tell me they don't rate their favorite team better or give lower ratings to teams they hate. i'm guessing majority of the rosters out there rank the flashy teams(like cavs or magic) are rated better than boring teams(like pistons or spurs)

this is one of the observations i have found regarding alby's roster back in his 5.0 version. i don't know if it already has been fixed.

in alby's roster 5.0 version. tony parker(C-) have the same inside scoring as matt bonner(C-) and marco bellinelli(C-)?? and guess what. wally sczerbiak has a C inside scoring. does that mean sczerbiak can score inside better than tony parker?

i know parker is a guard. alby's may have changed it to make the roster realistic. but isn't it obvious tony parker will probably score better near the rim compared to wally, bonner and belinelli?

i'm not trying to say alby's roster is bad. i haven't tried other rosters so i'm not in a position to say which roster is good or bad.

this is just an example of user-made roster flaws. maybe it's just me but after finding out about user-made roster mistakes, i've decided to just stick with the default roster from the 1.1 patch.

i know the default roster sucked but i just manually fixed at least player rotations and positions of every team. i've updated my rosters up to today (july 01,2009) without some players or rookies, of course. but i refuse to change ratings since i'm afraid to screw everything up with my owns biases. i'm not advertising since i don't make rosters here or anywhere. this is just my opinion. thanks.

I dont know about Albys roster because personally I prefer Juza's, but the attributes of the players doesn't necessarily reflect how good they are at inside scoring or etc etc.

The attributes are built by a formula which a) makes the players play like in real life and b) balances the overall rating of each player against other players that play the same position.

So these players having similar ratings doesn't make much difference its all about how the roster plays out.

My biggest problem with 2k9 overall is the way it can be so unrealistic with standings in association. I have many many shitty teams reaching the playoffs in my franchise, teams like the pacers make the playoffs regularly while the heat and hawks almost never make it. I guess it's because of balancing players that teams become imbalanced. I dunno thats my major gripe with all rosters.
