Pistons coach Michael Curry has been fired, the team announced Tuesday.

"This was a difficult decision to make," Pistons president Joe Dumars said. "I want to thank Michael for his hard work and dedication to the organization. However, at this time, I have decided to make a change."

Curry was 39-43 in his only season as Pistons coach. Detroit was swept by Cleveland in the first round of the playoffs.

Wonder who replaces him. Laimbeer?

That would be nice. The Pistons also fired Curry in my 2k9 association, they were 1-8 :P

That suits best in a 2K association story, but would be fun to watch

This made my day. (Y)

I'd love to see Avery Johnson taking over, maybe he can make the Pistons almighty again.

So much for the vote of confidence a month or so ago. I guess Joe D has had a little more time for reflection.
