Yeah, unfortunately this is unreal, but it would be very positive.Series 3-3,last game.. TV audience ratings would be very high. That doesn't matter, but fans would be happy to see some quality basketball.

Things are looking pretty good for the Lakers at the half. The Magic looked like they might race out to a big lead early in the first but right now it doesn't appear that they will be accompanying the Lakers back to Los Angeles. It'll be interesting to see the kind of money that's offered to Ariza this offseason, I imagine they'll be a lot of interest and dollars on the table around the league.

Screw my predictions on LA in 6, it's LA in 5. The Magics are done, their body language says it all and they are playing horrificly. They cant get anything to fall, and that basket keeps getting smaller for them and bigger for LA. One more quarter and 3:39 left to play, if they dont make adjustments right now LA will taste the championship glory today.

Lakers up 15 with a quarter to go. If the Magic were playing with more fire then maybe they'd have an outside shot at the unthinkable comeback to force Game 6 but as it is, it's looking pretty academic.

It's like a no bearing game so far...
Mon Jun 15, 2009 12:12 pm
Maybe this is too fast to say, but let's make a bet on how many points LA will end up winning.
All of a sudden the Magics are starting to hit threes and their defense is starting to pick up. Still, it's just way too little, way too late. Their only chance would be to get stops on the defensive end and execute properly on the offensive end. What the hell is Nelson doing at 8:50? Take the shot damn it. Ohmigawd, he's so annoying to watch.

8:20 Kobe hits another three.

The Magic are trying to get back into the game with one possession. Their shots are not falling, ball movement is not there, and they are playing one on one. The Lakers on the other hand, are running their offense "to a tee," and as a result the shots are falling for them.

Trevor Ariza is going to be a rich man.

Take them champaigne out of the coolers and pop them.
The Magics are still fighting but Kobe and co. are refusing a comeback. By the way, JJ Redick is hot. Should have played him earlier.

I meant he's hot.. from beyond the arc.

And yeah, it's over. Congrats to all the Laker fans out there.

The Lakers earned it, a good, hard fought playoffs this year for them.

JaoSming showing his love for the Lakers.
I dont know why, but the Lakers winning the championship doesn't feel as great as when the Celtics won theirs last year. Maybe it's just me.

Well, it's been annoying listening to Mark Jackson try to turn everything Kobe does into the Greatest Moment in NBA History (for crying out loud, Kobe's great enough to carve out his own legacy without that kind of hyperbole) but the Lakers unquestionably were the better team in the series and have successfully capped off a great year. Congrats to them, it's well-earned redemption after the unceremonious defeat in last year's Finals.

Yeh maybe... if Boston will be crippled again... Finally Phil got his tenth and Kobe got his own.

Is it just me or did Kobe snub Bill Russell when he handed the Finals' MVP trophy to him? Kinda awkward seeing Russell handing it off to his team's archrival.
Mon Jun 15, 2009 1:23 pm
Congrats to the Lakers baby. KOBE=NBA Finals MVP. 1 hell of a season
