Effective Defense

I've played around with man and zone but still haven't found a truly effective system to stand up against dribble penetration. It's ridiculous watching a player drive through my defense while my CPU defensive players just stand there. Any tips?

It's dangerous because it leaves someone open, but double teaming can help slow down a player who's carving up your defense off dribble penetration. Sometimes I prefer to control one of my bigs and defend in the paint as I find my CPU teammates do a better job sticking with players on the perimeter. Using the Defensive Assist isn't too bad either especially since there's no autoswitch on it in NBA Live 09, you might give up a couple of jumpers if you don't react quickly enough but it tends to be alright in cutting off the path to the basket.
