Geesh, grow yourself some balls dude. Then they should suspend Howard, Pietrus and Rashard as well, they are all playing very physically.

Agreed, the game should've been won in the fourth if Howard hit those free throws, if Lewis made that clutch shot, if Alston played, or if Nelson didn't watch Fisher in awe. He did it again in overtime.

The free throws were the killer for the Magic throughout the game but those two misses were huge. The moment he missed the second one and Ariza grabbed the rebound I had a feeling some heroics would be coming into play, though I thought it would be Kobe taking and making the big shot.

Hats off to Ariza for being a spark. And to Nelson for being a douchebag.

Nelson should have just fouled D-Fish and take 2 free throw shots.

Yes, that's one risk that Nelson should have took. But I don't know if he ever thought about it.

Ariza's run in the early part of the third quarter plays a vital role in the Lakers win. They were down by 12 at the start of the 3rd and his 3 point shots and other converted field goals helped the Lakers to comeback. Turkoglu's 3 point shot which is part of his 5 point run, I thought sealed the deal for Orlando but the biggest heart breaker for the Magic was of course, D-Ho's missed free throw shots.

I thought Kobe over reacted to Howard's foul under the paint. His reaction was bit unneccessary. Him elbowing Nelson, I also didn't like that. I thought it was an ugly overall performance by Kobe. His teammates definitely won him a game. Some questionable calls, too many missed chances to seal the game, too much Nelson for Alston: if it wasn't for one of those, Orlando would have won in a regulation w/o doubt.

Note worthy Howard's amazing performance, almost triple double with blocks being 1 shy.

Stan Van Gundy should have just let Alston play. I was right from the start when I said that Nelson shouldn't get playing time because he will be the X-Factor that ruins the Magics on the court. :shake:

Props to Fisher for hitting two big clutch shot despite missing his first five three points attempts. The Lakers should thank Nelson and Orlando's horrific freethrow shooting for giving them a win in this game. Orlando so should have won this game.

Dwight on his freethrows:
"I just missed them,'' Howard said. "I've been working on my free throws. They just weren't falling tonight.''

Well, that's not good enough. He should have said something like "I must work harder" not "they just weren't falling tonight" because it sounds like he's just taking the blame off his shoulders. It's not because "they just weren't falling tonight", it's because his freethrow shooting sucks and he must improve it. Stoudemire is a good example in this case, his freethrows wasn't good in his first season and he has improved it to over 70%.

I really miss the old guy , Anthony Johnson .
Do you guys think that this series would've been different if he's the one playing , not Jameer ?

With Odom, Bynum, and Gasol in foul troubles I thought the Magic got their edge when overtime comes so I left to work after the regulation and when I got there and checked it, surprise surprise! :shake: I don't know what's going on with Lewis... :wall: I give up on him... again the Lakers played like the Lakers, massive props to them.. I think this is over.

For the 4th consecutive time, Kobe had 8 assists.

I just saw the recap of Game 4. Funny when Jameer Nelson went in the position of Kobe and then incidentally got hit by Kobe's elbow when Kobe's about to pass the ball. Nelson's about to stand up but stopped when he saw that the Fisher three went in and decide to just act as if he's hurt. :D

Why blame Jameer? Stan made the choice of playing him, blame Stan.

Re: NBA Finals 2009: Lakers vs Magic

Lakers might lose the next one and win in LA, but I doubt that Orlando can do anything more. But I don't get it - why you all blame Nelson for that? Lakers are better team, that's it. Nelson is one of their best players, and if he wouldn't play, they definetely wouldn't be in better situation.

Stan's decision on when Nelson play is really questionable. It should be Alston who's on the court in crucial moments like these, not someone who's inexperienced and haven't even fully recovered. Nelson also deserve some of the blames because he decided to play when he knows that he shouldn't. He should know his status better and should have made the best decision for his team, and that is to be a grade A cheerleader from the bench. He thought his return would be a positive for his team but it isn't. I blame the both of them.

But I don't get it - why you all blame Nelson for that? Lakers are better team, that's it. Nelson is one of their best players...

Nelson isn't responsible for all of the blames, but he is for some of it. True, the Lakers are a better team but there are a lot of plays where Nelson failed to do what he's supposed to do and that was costly for the Magics. Nelson is one of their best players when he's healthy but right now he isn't and you really shouldn't play when you're not 100% healthy for obvious reasons.

...and if he wouldn't play, they definetely wouldn't be in better situation.

I disagree. I think the Magics will be in a better situation if Nelson didn't play. He couldn't play effectively and efficiently like when he's healthy, and he interrupts the flow because when he's playing, the Magics have 4 and a quarter players on the court. He still gets the same amount of touches compared to when he's healthy, but he's not as productive so the efficiency will obviously decrease. That's not a positive.
