hey i was wondering if anyone knew how to change the color of the shoe. like how miami and detroit have the same shoe color for home and away. i was wondering if there was a program that allowed you to change that!!!

no i understand how to change the color of the shoes...i want to know how to...hmmm look at the miami heat....they have black shoes home and away...and pistons have white shoes home and away...i was wondering if there was a way i could control it?

There is no program needed to make your home and away shoes the same.

SOLUTION:

Nike Power MAx:

Shoe_100_00 (home player 1)
Shoe_100_01 (home player 2)
Shoe_100_02 (home player 3)
Shoe_100_03 (home player 4)
Shoe_100_04 (home player 5)
Shoe_100_05 (home player 6)
Shoe_100_06 (home player 7)
Shoe_100_07 (home player 8)
Shoe_100_08 (home player 9)

Shoe_100_09 (away player 1)
Shoe_100_10 (away player 2)
Shoe_100_11 (away player 3)
Shoe_100_12 (away player 4)
Shoe_100_13 (away player 5)
Shoe_100_14 (away player 6)

Shoe_100_16 (away player 8)

note: shoe_100_00++ is located in "nba 2k9" folder

Example: You want to make player 1 have the same home and away shoes:

a. choose between "shoe_100_00" and "shoe_100_09" to use (they are player 1's home and away shoes, respectively)
b. say you choose "shoe_100_00" for home and away
c. copy "shoe_100_00"
d. paste in "desktop"
e. rename "shoe_100_00" to "shoe_100_09" (to make "home" shoe available as "away" shoe as well)
f. cut "shoe_100_09"
g. paste in "nba 2k9" folder (this will overwrite the shoe_100_09)
h. choose "yes" to overwite
i. go play "nba 2k9" (you will see that your player 1 will wear the same shoes for home and away)

IF you have a specific shoe to be used:
a. make 2 copies of that "shoe_xxx_xx" file
b. rename the 1st copy to "shoe_100_00" for home
c. rename the 2nd copy to "shoe_100_09" for away
d. paste in "nba 2k9" folder (this will overwrite the shoe_100_00 and shoe_100_09)
e. choose "yes" to overwrite
f. go play "nba 2k9" (you will see that your player 1 will wear the same shoes for home and away)

Exception:
Some players have the same home and away shoes, as set by NBA2k9 in the first place. Eg. Wade.

Just open Excel folder "鞋补对应" that is 90KB in memory, to get the list of players "shoe_xxx_xx".

The post above was not really the solution.

Yes it can make a player wear the same shoe colour by overwriting some shoe files, but if a player got traded or signed to a team that doesn't have the same shoe colour, it will be a total disaster,especially when you are in the association mode.

Hex editing is the solution, but I have no idea on how to locate and change the values and strings.

Let's just wait, hope and pray that FlyingFinn will release his latest editor in which we can edit the team shoe colour.
