How to toss the ball using a keyboard(dunking)

can this be done with a keybaord

Yeah, you can do it with buttons H, U, J and K.

doesnt work it says "R" in dunk school but in control settins "R" doesn't state what it dos actually and even when i change it, it doesn work

I don't know then, I can toss the ball in Live 08 with those buttons and without any editing. But you can try the method for Live 2005, 06 and 07.

Go to this location:

My Documents -> NBA Live 08 -> configs

Find the file which is named the same as the configuration you're using in game. Backup the file, then open it with notepad. Copy this and paste at the bottom of the file:

BIND K_X RYAXISCHANGE
BIND K_Y RXAXISCHANGE

X and Y are buttons which will make the player toss the ball, so you can assign any button you want instead of X and Y.

As I said in the beginning, this method did the trick for previous Lives, I can't assure you it will work here, but it's worth a try.

And "R" in dunk school probably states for a button on the joypad or right stick. It was too hard for EA to change instructions and make them helpful also for keyboard players.

After playing Live 08 pc with a keyboard for about a year now, the self alley oop during the all star slam dunk competition cannot be done. At least to me, the timing seems impossible and i dont think there is a slider or anything either.

i actually gave up on that thing to be honest - not even in slam dunk school can i get it right
