Philadelphia managed to get the 6th seed after all, and earn the right to be swept by the Magic instead of the Celtics.

Intriguing matchup 2 young teams but Orlando has too much for philly
Thu Apr 16, 2009 3:43 pm
Yes,Orlando is really a great team.Phila have some good players like igouadala,Brand,Miller but they are not so good.Orlando crashed cavs in earlier game.I watched this game and Orlando can play really good maybe through the finals and i think Orlando in 5.Phila can take 1 home game. And why are Sixers bad choice for association.I play with them and i already have 2 championship

Orlando in 5. Philly will take game 3 after Dwight Howard is limited to 34 minutes because of foul trouble. But then Dwight will come back angry in games 4 and 5 with back-to-back 30-20 efforts. It was disappointing to see the Bulls not grab the 6th seed (I blame Cleveland), because I think they'd be able to put up more of a fight than Philly could.

I should e-slap Lamrock for that last poll choice.
Sixers in 7.

Orlando in 5.

Tie

Magic in 4, i just dont think anyone on the 76ers can stop Dwight Howard...
Sat Apr 18, 2009 3:36 am
My guess is Magic in 6. In think the Sixers will put up a fight if Orlando has injury problems, like Lewis and Turkoglu. But with a healthy line-up it shouldn't be more then 5.

Orlando in five. Expanding the first round to seven games has given lower seeds a better opportunity to steal lone victories and avoid getting swept and I think Philadelphia will be able to take advantage of that, with the Magic winning a couple of competitive games and by blowout in the other two.

Damn what a shot by Iggy, give the first game to the Sixers. Iguodala's shot is such a beauty.
Many first game upsets so far.

Iggy made me cry in happiness.
Mon Apr 20, 2009 10:53 am
Doesn't matter. Sixers won Game 1 last year against the second best team in the East, and they return this year, with the same team, doing the game thing. (Yes, Orlando is the second best team now that Boston is without their best player)

a sixers bulls matchup would be nice!

With the way AI threw the ball, I don't think he's that sure that it will really go in so I think he just got lucky there but nevertheless it's a nice comeback coming from 18 down. Wow, we've seen a lot of game 1 upsets. I thought that if there's any team that can sweep an opponent it's Orlando but I found myself having an early mistake.

it was magic's loss, not 76ers win!

Stop with the loser talk, give the Sixers some credit.
Even I was surprised Iggy got the ball in the clutch.

Judging by the way Iggy attempted that shot, I didn't expect it to go in either and I'm pretty sure he got sort of lucky that it went in. However, it was a great effort by the Sixers for not giving up on the game and coming all the way back from an 18 points defecit.
Hedo played really tough defense on that possession but Iggy just made the shot anyway. Tough luck for the Magics but I guess we shouldn't feel too sympathy for them since they allowed the Sixers to recover.
Again, like the Boston-Chicago series, I assume the Magics will recover in game 2 and crush the Sixers.

What a shot by Iggy

! At least now we avoided a sweep, maybe we can pull one win at home as well.

Sixers in 7,man what a dagger thrown to the heart of orlando by Iggy, and to the Orlando Fans:How does that shot taste? I really like a Bulls-Sixers matchup in the second round
Tue Apr 21, 2009 10:51 pm
Call me a pessimist, but if the Sixers advance I think you'll have to settle for a matchup with the Celtics.
