Second series matchup is made official. Who will win in this rematch of the 2007 ECF? I'm gonna go Cavaliers in 5. #1 seeds often like to let #8's win Game 3.

I voted Cavs in 6. Pistons have good enough line up to give any teams bit of trouble I believe. It's just sad that we won't get to see AI.
Tue Apr 14, 2009 4:40 pm
Do you want a more competitive series, or do you want to see Iverson?
Of course, you get neither, since if that Bulls game was any indication, the Pistons hate each other and want to just go home as much as I personally hate them all.

I have a feeling it's going to come back to haunt me, no doubt with a Game 1 upset, but I'm picking the Cavs to sweep. The Cavs are one win away from tying the record for the best single season home record so despite that nagging doubt I'll say the Pistons won't be taking any games in Cleveland (even if they end up going 39-2, I'll stick with that prediction). Right now the Pistons don't appear to be in good shape to defend their homecourt either, so I say the brooms will be out.

pistons in 4, you'll see the actual force of a former 1st pick when kwame dominates the whole cavs team, he will get poisoned by the wilt spirit and score 100 on them every game
EDIT: oh yeah, on the 3rd game lebron will shatter the backboard while dunking in practice and the cavs will have to forfeit the game

Going with Cavs in 7, just cause.
t2r2s, they got extra backboards at the ready at all times

The Cavs won't be fazed by a lacklustre, disinterested Detroit team. The Cleveland sweep signals the final stanza of Pistons' playoff basketball.

http://highschool.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=922635arent those rules also for the NBA?
Wed Apr 15, 2009 5:02 am
nope, because, like I said, they have extra backboards ready incase shaq breaks one or if a shot clock is broken, or if the rim is messe dup etc etc etc
there is no rule in the NBA about dunking in warmups
Wed Apr 15, 2009 5:33 am
damn, i would really love to see cavs getting a upset in the first round just because they're soo good
Wed Apr 15, 2009 3:28 pm
Cavs in 5. I see the Pistons somehow pulling off one win in the series (probably when they're 3-0 down) then Cleveland dominating the rest of the time.
Wed Apr 15, 2009 4:09 pm
i go with Cavs in 5, cuz i don't see any reason they should lose more than one game! LeBron is too much for any pistons guard and he is too agressive! so if Cavs would play like they did the whole season, they could win easily in 4!

Yes, thats whats wrong with his prediction
Clearly lebron already broke those backboards, thus forfeit and pistons in 4.
if pistons lose, its cos of the refs. and injuries.

Huh?

Cleveland will only drop four games in this playoffs. All in the NBA Finals.
Sat Apr 18, 2009 12:07 am
The Cavs go up 3-0, the Pistons squeeze out a win and go home after 5 games.

Well, this is an odd year so it should be the Spurs' season after all.

A sweep. Bring the LeBrooms out!
Sun Apr 19, 2009 4:55 pm
I wouldn't be surprised if Nike will release a special Sweep Colorway for Zoom Lebron VI.
Sun Apr 19, 2009 5:10 pm
Lebron's just incredible. He not only improved himself but he literally united the team totally contrasting to Iverson's situation in Detroit. One big well trained unit versus 5 different individuals. Lebron and cos should be easy to coach while Curry would have trouble with his players. I think Detroit could have used AI in today's game.
