This is tough. I mean if you are playing 7mins at speed 48 obviously this isn't going to be as good as if you are playing at 10 mins. The whole dynamic of the game changes. You really need to trial and error to see what works best for you. Or find someone who has done it on 7 mins. Try increase game speed to 55 and put commit fouls down abit to get a more fluid game. Increase shots success rates and see how it goes. But I highly recommend you play it on 10mins or 8mins. I play it on 8 mins and tweaked these sliders and game speed to get my desired results. I am still testing though. I haven't played enough games

so what are you trying to say? that these settings are ONLY good for 10min quarter lenght? i play 2min quarter lenght, so does it mean that these settings/sliders cannot give their best on 2min? should i use default sliders in that case (i won't switch to 10min by any means)...

i also pplay with 2min quarters, it is very good, i dont have anything to complain...

With roster 3.0.5, i was using
TC#10's sliders (found on sliders thread pg.5) I played 10 minute quarters and it was great.
Here is my updated gameplay sliders which allows the CPU Superstars to dominate more and CPU Superstar Point Guards to penetrate and score more:
http://www.mediafire.com/?lzzhm3zdmmyMy User's On-ball Defense is at 38 while the User's Defensive Awareness is at 0, to allow opposing Point Guards to penetrate and score more instead of just passing and setting up the offense only.
I havent tried out 3.0.7 and the sliders but
TC#10's sliders were effective with 3.0.5

i think that my last work on sliders is the best out there compared to my roster cause everything is incredibly in the range, from mid jumpshot % to fouls and so on. these sliders have been developed to produce the more realistic gameplay and stats..believe me mate.
one more thing,it's not "on-ball defense" the right slider to create more space between the ball handler and the defender..it's a mix of many parameters..from the real player tendencies to the right coach sliders and other many factors..puttin def.awr. to 0 means that you have no chance to create a real defense....do you need a proof? every sliders of my last set are quite close to default( or giving the same chance to cpu and players) and i mean..every sliders..so why should i set many sliders to 0 to reach the perfect gameplay? i don't want to give to the player or cpu a substantial advantage...i want to creat something perfect basing on default sliders or quite adjusted ones.
everybody tends to create their own sliders putting them on 0 or near this thinking that this is the best solution to create an "awesome gameplay".......trust me..my last sliders are quite close to perfection.

i tested them deeply...PIP,fouls ( i don't like to drive insane the lane too much..take open shots..move the ball), FG and other stats are so realistic.

it will be my 1st time to try your roster n as far ived read ived gathered positive results. Got alil questions though.
1. I play hall of fame at 6mins per game...will this affect your updates gameplay? Coz saw in your post its based on " all star level ".
2. Is it ok not to use your settings file? i mean i dont like to re do all my settings like button config, sound config, game config etc. But i will follow your game speed, fouls etc slider as stated.
3.Should i update my game with the EA official patch before using this? Coz i havent played for awhile n havent updated the game.
4.Is this compatible with the Real shoe patch?
Thanks again lookin forward playin with this tonight, props for the patience on makin the game better

. Hope you find the time to answer my questions.

1. play on all star...it's very challenging ..
2. use only my nba rules -10 minutes - all star clutch factor off
3.there are plenty of users playing this roster pre-patch..but i think the patch-applied game it's really more consistent and realistic.
4. perfectly compatible with shoe pack 4.0
take care.

juza1971 thanks for your hard work.
I am new to NBA2K and have been enjoying it. I mostly play
head to head games with my brother, 3 minute quarter. I was wondering if consider your latest sliders ok for that? Even when playing in single player I can't afford to play 10 minutes long quarters
If you think the sliders could be tweaked to make it better for that quarter length please let me know, I am a noob.
The hardest thing I have had to deal with so far is the cpu's offensive rebounding, don't know if I have to do anything else other than time my jump for the ball better, but I give up too many offensive rebounds.

Sliders are great. Pretty realistic for Superstar too. Though I'm getting my ass kicked regularly.

cool thanks for answering my questions, but lastly what do you prefer the officially patched or the pre patched version? which one are you using? For patched users, what are the advantages n dis advantages of having a patched game with his roster? Thanks

Okay, I just had my first really fun game with Knicks vs. Warriors.
Good Flow, I put Shooting Foul down to 65 because at 80... I couldn't get a layup, everytime I put my head down in for the hoop (Not often) I got fouled ALWAYS... Kind of boring when you have more FT attempts than FG's.
I got around 6-8 per quarter which I feel is perfect, around 20~ a game.
I do have a question... I want more spacing, when somebody penetrates I want the defense to collapse. Is turning UP help defense slider going to help?
I think more switches, more open mid range shots, good screens would make these sliders perfect

Edit: Oh wait, I just re-read your blurb. I'm going to put it back to 80, and try lowering CPU foul tendency. (its not like I go in a lot, Its just that I want to MISS a LAYUP... rather than go in for a layup and get FOULED everytime even if its supposed to be an EASY TWO)

There is a search button on top of this thread. Use it. And everyone else who asks this question hence forth
Btw Bacon..."everytime I put my head down in for the hoop (Not often) I got fouled ALWAYS... Kind of boring when you have more FT attempts than FG's."
If you don't often drive to the hoop and get fouled ALWAYS then why would you have more FT attempts than FG's?

i think you dont understand the question here. Im asking about the effects on this
specific roster update and which one did he based it from . Basically im asking what kind of version ( patched or Unpatched )he used while making the the roster and adjustment. He may used some of the new sigshots for players or new features which are included in the official patch. I just wanna play his rosters the way he intended it to be hence im asking where did he based it from. Juza might suggest to patch it 1st for optimal gameplay or unpatch or patched doesnt makes no diff. Coz i read with the official patch it has some new sigshots n some gameplay changes and also like other roster patches they say its better for unpatched version as said by the creator. So please before redirecting or telling us to do something else please analyze the question. Thanks

Juza you are the best! very realistic roster with the new sliders version. Thanks!
Sat Apr 04, 2009 10:58 pm
this is just roster's whit injury players or you can play whit healthy player's but whit your rosters? srr my bad English
Sun Apr 05, 2009 12:25 am
D12orlando: I'm trying to essentially say that open layups rare drives end up in them fouling me from two steps behind of me. Maybe, that's not exactly the case with FG = FT , but it sure feels that way.
AllenIverson: Yes this roster is uninjured.
Dxjackson: Yes this patch is built using the 2K9's patch I believe.
