have you ever patched for nba live 2003?

Sun Dec 07, 2003 9:43 pm

Hi man...
I not patch NBA Live 2003 in my computer have only 2000 version..

Mon Dec 08, 2003 12:34 am

then how do you explain "YOUR" STANLEY ROBERTS patch on alexsite that is obviously a poor conversion from nba live 2003 or from 2001. i thought you had stopped taking credit for other people's work. geez, times never change. And let me tell you something about everyone of your patches!!!!!!! they frustrate the crap out of ME!!!!!! do you want to know why????????

-first off, you don't include a headshape file in the zip package so when people install the patch, he has a funny headshape!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-second, they are obviously 2minute patches because you have obviously spent 2 minutes on each patch.
-and third, you steal other people's work. when you stole my work, i wasn't too pleased and i explained to you how that is bad. but you still take and take and take without asking permission!!!!!!!
i thought you learned your lesson

i guess you didn't learn anything.
  good day

Ooops!

Bacio della morte, Davide...

Mon Dec 08, 2003 4:14 am

not to mention he stole unoquepasa's kyle korver hair to make a crappy version of jon steffanson, which also does not have a headshape, and shitty blending....

Davide, I have always liked you, so i will try not to say anything bad. I told you before that you had a good motivation to create patches; and you do.

I have also tried to help you by giving you tips on patching and also helping you out in the past by answering your question's.................. the only thing i don't understand is you never took any of my advice and are still putting out the same looking patches.
1) Not selecting a headshape
2) Not positioning the facial features
3) Just cutting and pasting the patch and then releasing it.
4) No blending etc.

All this said, if it's true that you are just stealing and converting patches without credit; then what can i say you deserve what they are saying about you.

errrr I would have believed that Stanley Roberts patch was indeed a conversion from Live 98, I typically recognize the graphic style.

may I be wrong ?

I can remove the patch if you want to, James, all the more as Stanley Roberts won't surely make it in NBA anymore.

Mon Dec 08, 2003 8:02 am

its not my patch, but i feel sorry for the creator of it. you should remove it on the original creator's behalf(whoever that is). i just want to encourage someone to make a better stanley roberts patch since i heard he was trying to make a comeback

All this said, if it's true that you are just stealing and converting patches without credit; then what can i say you deserve what they are saying about you.

hes taken my patches before and luckily, i realized it. i need to warn everyone in the live 2003 2004 2001 and other nba live communities about him. since i told him it was wrong to take other people's work w/o permission and he didn't listen.

For Stanley Roberts, I'm pretty sure it's an original face in the game... He didn't steal the face from anything but Live 98 original game... And I don't call it stealing, this is just a conversion (it's not as if he converted a Tony's patch without his authorization for instance)

I agree that davide patchs are bad when talking of nba players, compared to the excellent quality of unoquepasa, dirtdog, patrixx, tmac's & co patchs. but he also patches hot prospect that no one else do.

i hope though he will improve his skills, using headshape, improving alignement and blending. :)

(davide said in french "i'd like to know problem my cyberfaces have, could you explain me ?")

i'd say the problem are :
- eyes and mouth positionning. sometimes they are not perfect. you should do more tests, in order to align them perfectly on the cyberface
- headshape. most of your cyberface don't have the bin files that are essential to determinate an headshape. you should spend a lot of time on chosing the right headshape to make the cyberface more realistic
- cyberface blending. sometimes the face seems just to be "pasted" on the rest of the head. you should smooth the delimitations to make the cyberface more realistic
- color matching. on some cyberface the color of the head doesn't fit the body color. you should modify the color under photoshop or paint shop pro (with gamma correction, color balance and some other)

look at unoquepasa's tutorial on alexsite, you could learn a lot

good luck friend, with some practice you can be a good patcher (even unoquepasa and dirtdog1-david were bad patchers when they started :P    )

My tutorial is not very complete, i admit.
I could make another one explaining my efforts to get a good/perfect headshape model, the secrets of the hair composition, the bin files editing, my secrets tips to get realistic faces...
but i need 10 or 15 pages!!!!!!!!!
