Re: juza's nba 2k9 "neon' project" 3.0.5.1 + shoe pack v4.0 RLSD

Scoring for me goes up on default sliders, but it does make for close games since both sides score well.

With Juza's latest sliders it is harder to score and I am ending games right around 90-120 points (double my end game score for 6 min quarters). I play as the celtics, so most games against poor teams end up in a blow out. I will probably adjust down my defense to try and get those games to average 5-10 points more, as it should be a win, but doesn't need to be 15+ margin.

The game is also pretty random as I had a road game against the Pacers and from the start both sides were hitting everything. It settled down to a slower pace with the remaining quarters had very balanced scoring. The entire game was great and no team got more than maybe 4 points apart. Finally at the end I got a stop, and scored on my final possession going up like 54-52. They barely got down the court on their final possession. The game is an outlier though, as its the most points I have given up using this set and I probably should win pretty easily against them.

I've had other games using the same sliders where both sides can't make a shot and we are both shooting 30% or worse for a large part of the game.

ah i love juza's rosters + sliders. I was 0-4 with knicks (no trades ) and it was game vs magic which had 4-1 or 5-1
i was down by 16 in late of 3rd qt.And guess what ? First time when Larry stay hot from the field and i won the game 106-102. Hehe ,i have xbox360 too and i can clearly say pc version with Juza's things > xbox360 version no doubt for me.
THANKS JUZA for making this game so incredibely interesting and realistic ;)
JUZA !!!!! 1big big mistake by you in your roster in my opinion.
Gray from bulls overal rating better than salmons and noah? Come on dude he cant do shit in game, even when the coach gives him minutes he cant play... nba is not for him. Please lower his ratings or say what i should lower by myself.

yep some ratings are not right. so in association mode, such players as Robert Swift (Center of Thunder who plays shit) becomes a starter and replaces Krstic. My question is, if we changed some of the players's ratings. would it affect the gameplay?

I agree. in OKC, Malik Rose(PF) is same rating as Nick Collison(PF) but I think Collsion is much better.

i agree with you guys about ratings...

juza, there is a great ratings thread in nba live 07/08 section of this forum where you can find correct ratings for almost all the players in the game... those ratings are done by NLSC team and they are great. or you can just use the ratings from NLSC roster updates for nba live 07 and 08. those ratings are the most correct ones you can find.

ratings are as they have to according to the complete spreedsheet....they have been developed following tons of different scale maths formula so i'm not sure those "nba live" ratings will suite better for this roster. Further, i don't have time to re-adjust most of the supposed "broken" ratings..i got other priorities now so for those who wants to give a shot... you're well come.

How about changing Iversons sigshot to R. Jefferson?
Maybe some of you might want to try it, because in my opinion it fits much better than A. Johnson's shot. (Y)

it's just a tip for next version of this great roster update...

since i use only UNINJURED version, there are players that you forgot to include into starting lineup and active roster, such as luol deng (starting 5), james jones (active roster), rip hamilton (starting 5), brendan haywood (starting 5), theo ratliff (active roster), mike dunleavy (active roster or starting 5), ricky davis (active roster), glen davis (active roster), eric snow (active roster), ron artest (starting 5), eddy curry (active roster), eduardo najera (active roster), martell webster (active roster)...

i tried to put them all by myself but the game asked me to set their minutes manually or to let CPU calculate rotations and it all messed up... so if you could do it for next version (whenever it comes out), it would be great!

version 3.0.6 rlsd:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/frqunw

1- new overall ratings for some players ( for inst. Rose, Mo Williams ,T.Young etc..) to avoid illogical cpu trade in aso mode
2- definite sliders: they greatly improve gameplay
3- related settings.

I tried the new version on the association, giving you some feedback now. I keep getting some unsual trades for Rondo(for a 1st), Billups(Most of the time for Rip Hamilton) and baron davis.

Great gameplay bro !

Eric Snow? Dude's a tv analyst now.

For the trades, I thought of a simple solution, even though it's not realistic it would really help and that is to give no trade clauses for those who are very unlikely to be traded. Or cornerstones of a franchise like Durant, Kevin Martin, Al Jefferson, etc. Just a suggestion.

Re: juza's nba 2k9 "neon' project" 3.0.5.1 + shoe pack v4.0 RLSD

Great work juza!I use 3.0.5.1 on pro level,45 speed, default sliders and having a blast! On all star and above sliders are required but i'm gonna stick with pro because of ultra realistic gameplay and stats.
About trades in Association:I have trades option off.I turn it on for a week in late December and for a week in late January. All transactions take place these 2 weeks and haven't seen any weird trade so far.Maybe you can all try that. It's like having a transfer period as in football.
