Need help with jerseys and logos

So, I need your help guys. This new guy PM'ed me asking for some help with his Uruguayan League for Live 08, but he has some problems.
First, he told me that whenever he played with a created team against a "normal" team, the jerseys looked fine. But when he played with two created teams with edited jerseys, the jerseys look gray with black stripes.
And 2nd, he can't make the logos in-game to work. He told me something about large logos working, but the rest make the game crash to the desktop.
And finally, how can you duplicate a player? I mean, same player in different teams at the same time. I told him I guessed that was done with a dbf editor, but I'm not sure.

Placing the same player on multiple teams just requires multiple instances of the player in the database (both players.dbf and appearance.dbf). Since Excel 2003 can safely be used to save files in dbf format, an easy way of duplicating players is to create a dummy player in-game, save the rosters, then open players.dbf and copy the entry for the player you wish to duplicate and paste it over the dummy player's entry. You'll then have to change the ID number to the next available one accordingly. You then have to repeat the process for the player's entry in appearance.dbf.

that issue is because the jersey files aren't being properly loaded. be sure that there is a uniform viv along with any fsh files in the sgsm

logos, make sure he is hex editing to make the logos show up properly

just do a forum search for logos and hex or abbreviations, its the same process as logo stuff from 2005. its about changing the 2 letter abbreviation in one of the files

Is there any step-by-step guide around here to modify/create jerseys & logos?

What is the file for the splash screens and backgrounds?

check the wiki i guess

the first splash screen is the 00000000.256 file in the root folder, open it in paint
others are in the fe folder in either the screens or bckgrnds viv files
