Curious as to how long association mode goes on for

Well my estimate here is 2048...as i have just finished simulations in association mode,when i finish the end of 2047,and goto start the next season...it wont let you as it just shows you old news from the previous year,can anyone else confirm that association mode goes to year 2048 and finishes,cheers
