What's the biggest prize you ever won?

I'm not talking about prizes you won when you accomplished something like in a sports event, but in lotteries and stuff like that.
And are you a lucky person in things like that. Usually people who win lotteries are people who win something regularly.

Coming up short in today's national lottery again, I can't count myself to one of the lucky ones, I think the biggest prize I ever won was about 40 Euros some years back.

Oh, I remember another thing which was pretty cool. Some years ago there was a kind of celebration in our schooland there was a tombola with some prizes sponsored by a driving school. I ended up winnng a coupon of 350€ that I can use for driving lesseons.
That comes up quite handy once I decide to attend driving school.

Raffle on GameTrailers for a Halo Active Camo Spartan (im pretty sure im just going to get an invisible box saying that he is fully camo'd)

A free copy of the original South Park game for the N64 about ten years ago. Lady Luck has never been kind to me when it comes to lotteries and the like.

The best I could remember was getting free pizza from my teacher coz me and a friend got the best project in my flash actionscripting class.

I won 10 guilders once in a local lotto when I still lived on the islands, I had just moved there I thinks. The prize was 20 guilders, but we had split the cost of buying the lottery (that's how piss poor we were). So my sis got 10, I got 10. Oh how happy I was that day.

The biggest price (and by far weirdest) I have ever won was at McDonalds. It was the restaurant opening and the price I got was a DVD, i had the choice between some kids movie and "Mein Kampf" I was shocked to see a DVD version of Hitlers book as a price at McDonalds.

I didnt think this actually happened to people. Certainly not to anybody that I know or have ever met. But I entered the Share the Summer competition with Coke. And I won. A trip for 2 to L.A. I got the call this morning, and am still completely fucking blown away.

I get:
5 nights twin share accomodation at a 4-star hotel.
$1000AUD spending money so i can "hit the town LA Style"
A 90 minute surfing lesson
Two unlimited ride wristbands for Pacific Park Santa Monica Pier
Bike hire for a day so we can ride around L.A.
Two 3-day Go LA passes to make the most of our time in LA
And travel insurance.

I'm honestly gobsmacked. I was thinking about attempting to use them before the NBA season finished so I could maybe try to check out a Laker or Clippers game, but will probably just wait until after my birthday in June.

In addition to this, in the past I've won a mobile phone and a Sunglass Hut Voucher in a raffle. The same raffle.

I've entered like 3 or 4 times since competition started....I usually end up buying at least one 600mL bottle of Coke Zero each week, so just enter off those....I have no hard feelings, glad you won

I sent off my bottle cap and statutory declaration form the other day, and got a call back today, saying that it was all ok, and that I have now OFFICIALLY won the trip. Have decided to head off on the 13th of june. Cannot freaking wait!!!!!!! Have never been outside Australia before, so it makes it all triply exciting. Am now drowning in paperwork in order to get my passport.

Awesome. The first time I went overseas I did so for free too, couldn't recommend it enough. I've yet to have a proper overseas holiday though since each time has essentially been a business trip of sorts, so I'm envious of that.

Today I entered to go to a special screening of John Cena's new movie 12 pounds and a chance to meet him (random competition I saw while on IGN) and I won.
