We've over halfway there with 16 people signed up and I see a fair few people have played a game or too. Appreciate the enthusiam, everyone, I know it's early days but if all goes well I'm sure we'll be setting up another season of play after this one.

Didn't get a chance to get online and play anyone today but I'll certainly try tomorrow. If I'm on and you haven't played me yet, feel free to shoot me a message to setup a game.

another great game against the spurs...two 3-0 teams going at it....in the early going it looked like the spurs was running away with it with a lead of 18...Hornets Defense Stepped Up and Peja , who only had 2 pts at the half ,had 31 pts in the 2nd half including ot, including a 3 that sent the game into ot with 7 sec left...Hornets knew that if they came back from a 18 pt hole, why not finish? and so they did..hornets couldnt stop the inside game of the spurs but in overtime ...david west and tyson chandler were getting blocks consistently as the hornets won in ot 91-86.....Cp3 had 6 pts 14 asts.

had a good game with andrew the other day..
ended up having to play two sessions coz the first one crashed at half time..while i was up by 6
the second one was very different.. andrew jumped out at me from the start and soon i was staring at a 16 point deficit midway in the second.. never quite recovered and 'drew walked home with the w..
i had a ball though.. and i'm looking forward to playin the rest of y'all as well.. my magic are definitely better than the 0-1 they are at the mo'

Yeah it's got me a little worried about my 360 and a bit hesitant to play any more league games until I can stamp it out (I can't afford to pick up a new 360 at the moment). I've tried installing Live 09 to the hard drive though, if someone's willing to play me in a couple of unranked games and see if I have any more issues before I play any more league games as it's not fair if my hardware's at fault in forcing us to play again. It's only been those two times though, my other two league games and unranked online games have been fine.

I've heard that installing Live 09 actually causes more bad then good, if any good at all.
Mon Jan 19, 2009 1:15 pm
I'd heard the opposite which is why I gave it a try. Hopefully I can find out what's causing it and limit it if at all possible. If it's a connection issue then it becomes a little more difficult.

Suggestion:
I am quite busy with work and have few precious hours to be online, but I thought we could arrange game times in advance through e-mail. I'm generally available after 7pm (eastern time) on weeknights and some weekends. If you are up to scheduling a game with me, please e-mail me at adpet@hotmail.com. Otherwise, hit me up if I'm online.

honestly, I would like to do the same
jaosming@gmail.comhaving scheduled games would make me more consistent with league updates and whatnot.

Works for me. I don't mind setting up a game if we happen to be online at the same time but if you want to schedule any ahead of time, email me at my nba-live.com address or send me a PM.

If it's a connection issue then it becomes a little more difficult.
I've read that some people have improved their connections by opening or port forwarding.
Here are a couple guides I found on the subject. The second one contains a guides for alot of different routers.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908874http://portforward.com/english/applicat ... 0index.htmAlso, I am up for a game anytime in the next two days.
Mon Jan 26, 2009 8:38 am
I'll look into that now, thanks.

This league is dying a slow, painful death.
Sun Feb 08, 2009 2:39 am
Guess it's up to us lazy gm's to send out messages so we can coordinate when people can play, otherwise we just hope to find somebody online at the same time while willing to play a league game.
Sun Feb 08, 2009 3:00 am
There's a bunch of gm's who haven't even played one game. It's been almost a month since we started.

I don't think it's just us, it seems to be a universal problem with leagues including the online sim leagues we post bulletins for from time to time. Some people are keen to join but then can't find the time or enthusiasm to play. We may be due for another membership drive, too.
