http://www.nba.com/2009/allstar2009/02/ ... index.htmlDerrick Rose - Chicago Bulls
Jameer Nelson - Orlando Magic
Devin Harris - New Jersey Nets
Tony Parker - San Antonio Spurs
No Deron this year, thanks to injuries I think. Any predictions on who will take the crown this year? I'm leaning towards Rose and Harris in the finals, with Rose probably winning in the end.

I could see Rose and Harris in the final round too and while I'd obviously like Rose to win, I think his jumpshot might let him down and waste precious seconds towards the end of the course leading to a Harris win.

Y not Calderon, probably cuz of injuries? Calderon is one of the best ball handlers in the sense of assists turonvers and he has a nice jumpshot too.

My pick goes to Devin Harris this year. This guy is FAST. I'm kind of glad to see all the contestants being smaller/quicker guards.

I'm rooting for Tony. He's the most experienced PG in winning ways. I think he'll come up with ways to win over those younger guards.

And Tony Parker is the only one that participated in th skill challange before in a record setting time of 45,5sec. I guess he wants to show that he´s able to hit the jumpshot now and redeem himself against the younger guys.

I don't think that's the record, I remember Wade for one winning in under 30 seconds.
Wed Feb 04, 2009 8:32 am
Then Deron broke Wade's record last year winning in just about 21 seconds. As for what Tee-Pane said on Jose, I was actually hoping he'd make it this year, but the injuries put him under the radar for a bit. I'm still stoked that Rose made it though. I've been a fan of the guy since he was in high school.

I wonder who'll replace Jameer Nelson now that its been reported that he is out with a dislocated shoulder... I was thinking maybe they could put in Rondo coz that dude is quick...
Wed Feb 04, 2009 3:58 pm
Perhaps Rondo or Calderon.
Wed Feb 04, 2009 5:07 pm
Devin Harris is my choise, but i wish good luck to all guys!

Parker definetly has the record, but it´s for the worst time ever. He was not able to hit one of the 5 Jumpshots. The best time was by Williams only a little better than Nash the year before.
For this year I hope Calderon is going to join in.

I want Kobe to replace Nelson that would much be anticipated..
Thu Feb 05, 2009 3:30 am
Calderon or Rondo will get the nod... But why not Nash, knowing where the All Star is held
Thu Feb 05, 2009 7:06 am
Rondo, despite being my fav after Rose, will fail at this competition.. dude's got to nail the J, it's not as easy task as it is for some. Same goes to Rose, but his shot falls better, much better.

Not a bad idea and certainly not inappropriate, I could see that happening.

calderon would be great here..... he can shoot, he can pass and he doesn't hve to defend nybody
Tue Feb 10, 2009 1:45 pm
Tony Parker has a good chance. I say him and Derrick Rose in the Finals.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mo Williams has been selected to replace injured Orlando Magic guard Jameer Nelson (torn right labrum) in the 2009 Playstation® Skills Challenge to be held on Saturday, Feb. 14 at US Airways Center in Phoenix.

Is this the NBA's idea of a compromise for Mo not making the ASG?
Thu Feb 12, 2009 1:11 pm
He has made the All-Star game. But you're right. It's all Mo Williams, all the time!
Fri Feb 13, 2009 6:34 pm
Yes Mo Williams is really good and after he replaced Nelson in the skills challenge,he scored a career-high 44 points vs Phoenix!
Sun Feb 15, 2009 12:21 pm
Derrick Rose.

Mo Williams got screwed by that ballboy's blunder in the first round though, ended up adding a couple of seconds to his time.
