I think that the B button on the control represents Y in some portions of the game, the Y button represents the X on the screens, etc). Is this an issue that just I am having?

For the TexMod version to work, you need a fixed .exe that doesn't require Steam. However, there's no fixed .exe available for the patched version of the game? I've patched mine, and I'm loving it, so I'll need to wait for either an .iff version of this or a fixed .exe for the patched version?
Nice work, Vlizzle. I really appreciate the effort you put into it. Maybe you could make the textures available here so that someone can make an .iff version. Heck, I'd do it myself if I'd find the time.

MacBryce wrote:I quickly made an .iff version that we can use while we wait for Vlizzle's awesome work. If something goes wrong, I'm not responsible for it. I won't give support for this. This is just for people like me who want to play an updated NBA 2K9 with in-game buttons that are similar to their controller's, without having to use a fixed .exe. Personally, I'd even use these if I didn't have an xBox controller because the original buttons are too difficult to interpret quickly.
Instructions:
1) Download my gamedata.rar from http://rapidshare.com/files/185474061/gamedata.rar
2) Go to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\nba 2k9 (or wherever you've installed NBA 2K9)
3) Make a backup of your gamedata.iff. (Rename it to gamedata.bak or something like that.)
4) Copy the gamedata.iff that's included in the rar to your installation folder.
5) Play the game.
If done correctly, you should see custom buttons that replace the B1 to B12 when using the direct pass button. I haven't tested them fully because I've got some real work to do first. They're configured the way I like them, if you want them differently then wait for Vlizzle or get Iffset from this forum and make/upload your own version. (For those who want to do some more work on this, you can find the original .psd I designed here: http://rapidshare.com/files/185477987/969565E4_DXT5.psd, you can find a free .dds converter for Photoshop on the nVidia site.)
And for all of you who only read big and bold sentences:
This is not Vlizzle's latest version of his mod. It's a temporary .iff version that you can use while you wait for Vlizzle's .iff version.

It's my pleasure to bring to you the most detailed button mod made yet !
All areas in game where controls were present were changed with XBOX buttons and as a bonus, I made a genuine XBOX gamepad on the player selection screen.
Use this control configuration to get the best out of this patch:
Use this control configuration for the PC Config file:

Spin\Rebound|Block - Y Button
Post Up - LB (Left Bumper)
Sprint - RB (Right Bumper)
Dual Player - LT(Left Trigger)
Icon Pass - RT (Right Trigger)
Use this control configuration fot the XBOX Config file:
Pause - Start Button
Time out - Back Button
Pass - A Button
Crossover\Take Charge - B Button
Shoot\Steal - X Button
Spin\Rebound|Block - Y Button
Dual Player - LB (Left Bumper)

The button graphics were(this time) made by me from scratch.
Please appreciate the time that was put into this project and stop posting stupid things and sending me dumb mails.
Also, be patient, I am working on a way to make an IFF file.

I can help you with that but the problem that the IFFset tool cannot edit the global.iff file which contain most of the icons other than the direct icon pass which located in the gamedata.iff file so that's why we are all wiaiting for a better IFF editor tool that can edit big files such as the global.iff file

Stop peddling your patches on other people's threads. It's annoying.
You already have your own thread, just bump it up if you feel that others need your patch.
