Spurs, Timberwolves complete deal, trades Mason for Foye
December 6th 2008
The San Antonio Spurs and the Minnesota Timberwolves have announced that they have compeleted a deal that would send Randy Foye to San Antonio in exchange for sharpshooter Roger Mason.
Foye has been on the block for quite a while now and although he does not like it, he still has to accept it, he is not a member of the T'Wolves anymore, and instead, will fight for minutes with Spurs Star Tony Parker, very unlikely that he would win in that situation. Meanwhile, the T'Wolves gain a sharpshooter that they could bring off the bench behind Mike Miller.

Odom agrees to extension offer from Chicago
December 10th 2008
Just one day after rumors have leaked out with regards to a possible contract extension for Lamar Odom of the Chicago Bulls, the Bulls have announced that they have just signed Odom to a 5 year extension with a player option on the 6th year, per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is estimate to be around 85 million dollars.
This extension just ensured Lamar's place on the Bulls team for a very long time, and going by the way he has been playing for the last month, he has truly earned that contract and most likely won't even be considered to be traded away, and will stay as a Bull until he retires. (he would be 35 after his contract is up)
"We were happy to be able to agree upon this long term extension with Lamar, he is an important member of the team, and of this franchise, and we hope that he will continue to lead the team with his excellence on and off the court" said Bulls assistant GM Scottie Pippen

December 12th 2008
The very first game after Bulls forward Lamar Odom signed his new contract, he celebrated his new found 85 million dollars by posting career highs in points and assists in the Bulls road game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Odom was on fire all night, and in 33 minutes of play, he had a career high 55 points (previous was 45, set earlier this season), and 16 assists (previous was 15, set earlier this season), as well as 5 rebounds, 2 blocks and a steal, hitting 25 of 32 from the field, including 2 for 3 from three point land, as well as a not so impressive 3 for 8 performance from the charity stripe to lead the Bulls to a 50 point blowout victory on the worse offensive and defensive team in the NBA.
