Which patches work with 2K's patch?

Which patches work with 2K's patch? Is it true that Texmod does not work anymore or files will be messed up after installing the offical patch?
Before the official patch, I could not use Texmod patches.
In brief: I want to get rid of white shoes (problem after 2K's patch), need portraits etc. of missing players and I definitely would like to have the buttons for my original Xbox360 controller.
What can I download? What will work?

iff patches seem to be unaffected
texmod will have issues, cause, well, you need to use steam to get the patch and if you use steam for the game, you cant use texmod
