NBA 2k9 error

What's up with my NBA 2K9 it closes the game whenever I click the headlines or news in the Association Mode? Why is that? What file is that? The patch I've only installed are these:
1. CF's (selected)
2. Jersey's
3. Some Courts
4. Roster
5. Portraits (in TPF)
That's all the patch I already installed in my game.

I'm just guessing... might be the portraits since it uses texmod...

Hey, I've tried not using texmod but still it crashes, but when I deleted my profile, settings, sliders, roster etc. the problem is fix, but the only problem now is that many players from my roster is missing portraits.
