I don't think you can go wrong either way picking between LeBron and Kobe. Kobe's a stronger three point shooter but LeBron has greater bulk and strength to finish at the basket (not that he can't shoot threes and Kobe can certainly get to the hoop too), so depending on how you like to play you might want to consider those differences between two of the best in the game today.

I'd probably take Bynum if he's still available with your next pick so you've got a strong inside player to complement the all-around talents of LeBron or Kobe, whomever you end up choosing.

Yeah Andrew is right you should take either LeBron or Kobe it's your choice, but if you chose Kobe your second pick must be bynum and if you chose LeBron your second pick should be Z or Rajon Rondo

hey andrew and C-77, thank you, but after Lebron/Kobe and Bynum,
can you ranked the next five in that choices?
we dont know if the computer will pick Bynum and the other players that have lower ratings than the higher one because for example they want that player even if the player has 85 rating like bynum than nash 91 because he like to play bynum than nash.

thank you!

Probably Ilgauskas, Chandler or O'Neal if you want a big man to compliment Kobe/LeBron, Rondo or Rose if you want a point guard. With those ratings, you could always just grab the highest rated player and try to make some trades after you complete the draft.

my first five is
C Biedrins 85
PF Horford 84
SF Courtney Lee 73
SG Kobe 97
PG Ramon Sessions 73

On my first three games my record is 0-3
Do you think it will work if I trade Biedrins or Horford for Rudy Gay 86?

Please don't triple post, if you've got anything to add you can edit your previous post using the Edit button at the top right. Thanks.

If you're trading away Biedrins, it's probably best to get a power forward or a centre to play alongside Horford. O'Neal is a safer bet in the game than he is in real life, you could give that a shot. Otherwise, you're going to have a very small team which will make it more difficult to matchup well with teams that have a lot of size.

sorry for the triple post, and for the other posts,

youre right, I will become a small team, so you mean that I should have 2 big men and a small one like kobe to be a competitive team?

Well it depends on your style of play, it's possible to be competitive with a smaller lineup but there will sometimes be matchup problems. Your starting centre and power forward should preferably be big men. You could certainly continue running a three guard lineup alongside a couple of big men if you like but I'd move Kobe to small forward if you're going to do that.

so you mean if I like to play with 3guards, kobe will be the SF, well, its great considering kobe is one of the top defenders in 2 position, so he can guard in the 3 position because the players in the 3 are not that big, kobe is 6'6, but after the contract, you think its better to resign him? I know its early to ask that but in that age will kobe start to decline? because Im thinking in the long run, kobe is in the 30's and lebron is only 24, but the team that have lebron james doesnt wanna trade him, you think its practical to trade kobe with another player or pick to have lebron?

and in your kind of play, what do you prefer, the usual or the 3 guard lineup?

what if I trade biedrins and horford for amare?

You can certainly try to get LeBron but sometimes the CPU just doesn't want to make a trade, even if it's a fair offer.

For my starting five I usually prefer a traditional sort of lineup (everyone playing their natural position) though sometimes I'll try and shake things up playing someone at their secondary position and when it comes time to bring someone in off the bench I'll definitely make use of three guard lineups and the like. The advantage of those kind of lineups is that they can create a mismatch at one end, though the downside is they often give your opponent a mismatch at the other end.

If you trade Biedrins and Horford for Amare you should definitely bring another big man into the starting lineup, either someone you've already got coming off the bench or perhaps in another trade. Be wary of giving up too much for one player though as you start to deplete your roster and lose players with good trade value.

thats my problem, i dont have another solid big man in my lineup, but what im looking for is that amare has a high rating in a young age, he can improve more in the long run,

another what im worried is kobe, lebron dont want to trade for kobe 1 on 1, I tried kobe and biedrins for lebron but it doesnt work either, i like kobe but he takes longer to get a 99, sometimes doesnt reach that rating, but lebron in a season can improve to 99 and still has many years,

What kind of record to the Cavs have? If they're winning, they'll be less likely to trade LeBron, even for someone like Kobe.

its boston, because its fantasy draft, they own the fifth worst record in the league, 3-9, and they own a 6 losing streak,

now I have
Lopez, Brook
Biedrins, Andris
Horford, Al
Bryant, Kobe
Azubuike, Kelenna

you think it would be on my advantage If I trade Kobe and Horford for Amare, Ben Gordon and a pick?

Houstons line up is
Tony Parker
Josh Smith
Al Thornton
Jamaal Crawford

and they have an interest on Biedrins, who shall I trade?

Probably Kobe but I wouldn't make that trade as that's giving up too much in one deal.

yeah, I want amare but I think the team will not give up amare unless kobe is included in the trade, if I cant get amare without kobe, I will not give up horford, biedrins and lopez, they will rotate in the 4 and 5 position, my problem is I cant get a legit PG, if I want a trade, who will be included in horford, biedrins and lopez? I want biedrins together with his 9M contract but he is putting up a double-double, 15ppg and 12rpg, next to him is Horford and then Lopez,

OPTION 1: get a PG
who do you think in that three will I give up for a PG?

OPTION 2: get a high rating big man
who do you think will be the best player in the court with Amare?
Horford, Biedrins or Lopez? im planning to give up 2 of them and probably a pick or azubuike for Amare,

Aaron Brooks 73 is offered to me for Lopez 78, and I rejected it, you think I made a good decision? considering they have a 5 rating gap,

I'd probably keep Horford, play him at centre and Amare at power forward.

It's difficult for me to say who you should trade and who you should give up as I don't know your playing style or who's performing well for you. I would suggest that whoever isn't performing very well should be the one(s) to go. Since you've done a fantasy draft it's also difficult to make specific suggestions as I don't know which players are where and what kind of interest other teams are likely to have in your players. Bottom line, the more interest they have the easier it will be to trade them and you should get a better deal out of it.

Yes, I would've turned down that deal as well. With an overall rating of 78, Lopez has much higher trade value than that and could be used in a deal to get a much better player than Brooks or even a better deal in a one-for-one trade.
