UBL LEGENDS is a one-season long NBA LIVE 06 SIM League.

Before i go on, i would like to explain why "one-season long".

Reality indicates that most leagues don’t survive to a full season and with my experience, i know how ugly it is when a league closes in half-way. I understand that it is fun to dream about young squads with championship potential but in sim leagues, the GM with best team is usually the first and last to laugh.

As far as i would like to run the league forever, I can´t and there is no one that could replace me because it would take months for me to explain how everything works. However, i can and i will deliver an excellent one-season and 90ish-days long sim league to the members who decide to join.

Why do i think this could be great?* Because i worked in this project for months and i built a system that gives equal chances of winning to every member involved. Moreover, you should be able to enjoy reading my rankins and articles throughout the season and we will have original stuff like tv games that you might like.

*I will explain some points by answering to questions.

Why are we using legends? It is an added value. Being a general manager in a sim league has nothing to do with being a real manager so i don't see why we should stick with original rosters just for the sake of imitating real life. I made a lot of research about legends so expect good things coming out of it. About ratings, you might not agree with some of them but i edited every single rating with fundaments. For example, in the 70s there was no 3-point line so most SGs only extended their range to mid-range and they didn't play much defense so a player like Bill Russell could dominate and win an incredible amount of titles.

Considering this is a one-season long league, what will happen with trades? The length of the league will help in the sense that we wont use salaries to make every fair deal acceptable but it will be harder to trade because potential is not a factor. Moreover, there is one rule involving legends that should really help you: the switching rule that allows you to change your legend with another legend of equal or lower rating. For example, you can trade a center for a pg and if you have a legendary pg in your team.

Some details about the forum:

-Under the main menu, you can find the clickables that include league news, some links to general forums and the teams index.
At the bottom of the main page, you will find a random legend banner, the color selector, a spoiler for music and a spoiler with some nice youtube videos of nba legends and nba history.

-At the bottom of the portal, you will find the main chat and some nice widgets including live tv. On the left, you can also find some nice stuff.

-In the "rules, Guide & More" section you will find a expanded general chat and world map at the bottom.

-In the negotiations office, you will have a text file with ratings and a negotiations chat.

-In the general sections: the nba, sports and video games sections have their own skins. The nba and sports sections have their own clickables too. In the sports section you will also find a chat.

-In the music section you will a expanded songs list.
