Trades are restricted so that you can only trade with other players who have played the same amount of games as you.
We have it set so that you play each member of the league once, then we go into a 1 game series playoff system.

We're not doing a fantasy draft this time around but if we run another season or two (based on the success of this one) then we'll certainly look at doing a fantasy draft next time around.

I also noticed that NJNETSFAN has already laid the smackdown (on P-Dub or jaosming..i can't recall..) with 79-40 something win ? - that looked like a warning to the rest of the league !

I'm playing a Dynasty at the moment so I'll have to split my 09 gaming between it, OTP and the league but I suggest that whenever someone from the league is online at the same time and you haven't played them yet, we arrange the matchup ASAP.

Played the inaugural league game against Jaosming yesterday,a rematch of last years NBA Finals. He was the Celtics, and I hosted him as the Lakers. It was a pretty tight game with the lead going back and forth, and Boston lead at the half. In the second half, the Lakers defense clamped down the middle and the Celtics could not hit their perimeter shots, and with that the Lakers took the momentum, the lead, and held the Celtics off to win by 3, 52-49. Ray Allen lead all scorers with 21 points, and Pau Gasol was the player of the game with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Kevin Garnett put up 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals.

It was a pretty good game, with good ball movement by both teams, and respectful, non-cheesing gameplay.

I started another game against Andrew that same day and was routing the Bulls with a double digit lead that the Bulls started inching away at. Then, for some unknown reason, Tyrus Thomas and Derrick Rose decided to play a fantasy RPG and used the Shock and Freeze spell on our game. Just so you know Andrew, when we replay that game, I'm going to start it off with a fastbreak alleyoop again, hehe.

You can certainly join, all you need to do is search for the league (use NLSC as the keyword, then the password is "nlsc" without the quotation marks). The Suns are still available as of this post but it's first come first served as you get to select your team when you join up.

Got 2 good games in this evening.

First one was against NJNETSFAN and he held a good 2 possession lead the entire game, including a few wicked VC dunks that had me looking for the non-existent replay feature for online games. Mid way through the 4th Pierce got a clutch (lucky) block on a Yi layup and got it down to Allen to take the lead. A turnover with 4 seconds left for the Nets did them in as Pierce threw the ball in the air for the 54-52 win at home.

My second game was against newcomer J19C as the Heat. Even with Wade at point he couldn't get past Rondo or stop him for that matter has he exploded for 17 points. Beazely was a killer with pullup jumpers at the foul line and got the game high 18 points. The top three plays of the game was a sick jumping behind the back Wade pass to a Beazely jumper, a Wade windmill over Perkins off a Marion pick and a fast break left to right hand rock the cradle windmill esk dunk from Garnett. The defense controlled the entire game for both teams but late in the 4th both teams just found their offensive spots. Final was 56 - 40 in favor of the hometown Celtics.

Pdub and I replayed our game that screwed up on us yesterday (which fairly should have been a victory for him) and this time it went down to the final minute, though Dub had held the lead since breaking a 4-4 tie early in the game. I was trying to blanket Kobe but he made me pay for it as I ended up leaving the likes of Odom and Radmanovic open for too many shots that put an end to any run I tried to make. I finally pulled ahead in the third quarter after a couple of very lucky breaks but then a three by Odom knotted the game at 47. I then made a very lucky shot with Rose after the play broke down to take the lead, Pdub missed a shot at the other end and ended up putting Gordon on the line to stop the clock. I made both and the final score was 51-47 in favour of the Bulls though as I said I should be 0-1 now. For now, I'll take it though.

No problem, it's great that so many people are interested in signing up.

Just had a wild game against xATHFSILENCERx, back and forth throughout with several ties and lead changes, each of us making runs to close the gap whenever the other person got a bit of a lead. I faltered in the clutch though and he made some tremendous stops to go on a 10-0 run in the final minute, ending up with the 76-66 victory. Chris Paul was getting assists left and right, ending up with 17 while Tyson Chandler led all scores with 28 points. Gordon top scored for me with 18.
