NBA Live vs. Madden....

I remember when Live 04 first came out, somebody made a post sayin how Madden is almost perfect every year, but there is still much to complain about NBA Live.
I agree, even tho Live is usually the only game I play for months when I get it, and even tho I like Live more than Madden, why is it that there are allllllllways so many things wrong with Live, compared to barely anything being wrong with Madden? Is it the same development team doin both games? I don't think you can say that "Basketball is a harder game to simulate" because it seems that whenever they make progress in one area, they take backsteps in other areas. Passing on Live is HORRIBLE...it's no need to take 3 seconds before you can move or shoot after receivin the ball, because the player will jump in the air to catch the ball for whatever reason. And lets not talk about the inconsistency of scoring runs.
Now for my main question....would you agree with there being a longer delay between now and the next Live, assuring that the game will be much more perfected? Even tho I anticipate like hell for whenever the next Live comes out, I'd rather wait 2-3 more months than to be dissatisfied with the game in soooooo many different ways.
