u could use GIMP ( it is like a Photoshop, but more simple i guess ) or Photoshop...after extracting with texmod, modify with those programs and create in "package build" option in texmod...after this just go to select package and see the results

,, thanks ..

i have experience making faces in the game pes (pro evolution soccer ) ,, and it is really similar that nba 2k9 ,, but in pes ,,i have to work de texture with photoshop and then i have to edit the 3d of the face with a program called oedit. so i think that in nba 2k9 there is a program to edit the 3d too.

thanks .

i think there's not such a program to do the 3D ajusts yet ... :-/
For now we could only edit texture, but if u do a good job changes a lot the face of your player...people here in the forum did some great job with VC, lebron, the Lopez brothers, Kidd and etc...I don't have expecience with photoshop but i could do some fixes with Leandro Barbosa, Louis Amundson, even create my own player

Impressive, brilliant!!! Jor1980 sent me a screenshot. Pdub is the one who designed the tool, and Sthelios, The Ultimate Pirate Sarabia, Jor1980... are already analyzing the 3D Structures!!!

wow cool
soon they would fix even the head shapes :-P
I hope they fix the bodies too cause in create a player the skinny guy its really a skinny, but the normal is too big... When i create my player, I've done with same size as Nate Robinson (5"9) and the normal structure got him bigger than nate who is pretty strong...I think i've read in some forum, can't remember if was here, that in Association mode u can get sum improovment in that aspect...i'll check soon

I already stated that I did not make any tool for editing 2k9 models. I simply found Kobe Bryant's headshape vertices and polygon faces and LUCKILY it was similar to NBA Live's vertices and polygon faces format. I hexedited the data into an EBO file, and there it is. I am not sure about a 3d tool being made by someone else, but there is a new texture import/export tool in the works that should be able to edit arena textures.

I would rather have someone create a plugin for a free 3d modeling program like Zmodeler or MilkShape 3D, that way everyone would be able to modify models without having to pay for expensive programs.

I may release a tutorial on how to do it the same way I did with NBA Live's ebo editor. I want a better way since the eboeditor is slow and there is no 3d preview. Both Zmodeler and Milkshape 3D have 3d previews, but none of the formats that they support are similar enough to be able to hex edit in the data.

On that note, if you know anyone who knows about 3d modeling how to find the ordering of the vertices and vertex faces, please let me know.

It comes with plugins(Export/Import at the file menu). Nothing that can edit EBO or IFF shapes and I tried hexediting the data into every familiar looking format and none of them worked correctly.
