Ok here's the latest from the EGS crew at bballs.com. It's the new Clippers jersey. Just a little hint to the guys in the NBA shoes forum...all of these things have been released. Every single player in the game can have their shoes modded. You have to pick the right shoes to change.

You can pick the shoes from 3 different parts of the shoe menu. Under Nike, with the thunderdunk shoe (or whatever Kobe's default dunk shoe is) and from the Adidas menu with the TC Creator low and pro shoes. The colors you pick are not the shoe's color but rather the players shoes type....just scroll through these 3 sets of shoes at different colors to see the different ones you can get. Please note that you can't access any special shoes from the Jordan menu...they are all the same still...
Finally, if you want the other pair of shoes...because each shoe mod has an away and home shoe...just change the sock color from white to black and vice versa.

The EGS guys did all of this...I'm just translating, downloading and bringing it back here, but honestly, the people in the 'real shoes patch for NBA2K9 preview" are like frothing at the mouth over these "coming soon" patches...when they are already out on the site above. That last picture posted today from EGS are the same shoes but with the new CLIPPERS jerseys. Check out the links if you don't believe...I am just enjoying reading everyone getting so excited about "when" they will release these patches...there done and here.

This took me a couple of hours and some translation software, but here are the entire listing of files. I am tired now, but I wanted to put this up because EGS has done some beautiful work. I REPEAT EGS HAS DONE THE WORK! I have not done anything to it...except organize it. So, now everyone won't have to go to the site and go through the translating and downloading...very tiring and boring. Anyways, the files are named as they are on the site. I'll update this tomorrow after work with the exact names for the files, but to be honest...everyone should input EVERY SINGLE FILE into their game. Actually check that last statement....there are 3 rosters files and one little program file that is some sort of patch updater...I'm looking through the files right now to figure it out...the roster files are easy because they have '.ros' at the end of them...the program update file is very small but you would have to open it to use it. I'm going to delete it from the files for right now until I check it and some others do because you never know about software files... Anyways, EGS is just amazing at modding...hopefully they will throw us a bone over here in the States on HOW they are doing this...but we'll wait and see. Again, I didn't do any of this work...I merely put it all together for us here...and the files are fantastic...each one is just great. I just unzipped them all in one folder, and then I just threw them into the NBA2K directory on my computer...it took 5 minutes...and the game is so much better! one big note: you should always keep an original backup of your files...this is no different. Create a second directory for your NBA2K9 main files...just in case you want to go back to the original...THESE FILES OVERWRITE YOUR ORIGINALS!!! Anyways, I'll keep updating this post with more downloads...and I'll keep searching for more to gather and post together. We really should consider doing this collectively. This site is, by far and away, the best one to find these very new mods...so please pm if you want to start something up. This game is so great...and modding it is only going to make it better...especially when we can bypass the stupid and crash-heavy texmod way of modding. I can't take it. These files here...just unzip them and throw them into your NBA2K9 directory...look for the one with all the .iff files. Remember to back up before you overwrite!!! Enjoy y'all!!! GO MAVS! GO DIRK!

Is possible explain name of files?

Hey Y'all...I can't sleep..so I'm gonna make this a lot easier on everyone. I have a chinese language language library in Windows...so I didn't have a problem with the Chinese Characters in some of the files...I did just now remember that if you don't have this...Windows is a major pain in the ass...it just doesn't know what to do because it doesn't recognize it...So, I'm just cutting it all down into the bare minimum...with the names of the files and images to go with it...in one big rar file to download. If that isn't easy...I don't know what else to do. Sorry I just threw it up there without thinking about the Chinese Characters in the syntax. I'll have it up in a hour or more...thanks for the props...much appreciated so far.

Ok...here is what I have done...

I have grouped them into 4 different categories. I am uploading them one category at a time. The team gear and player patches are big...so I'm uploading those individually...then at the end of the end of that I'll upload them each as one zip file...for those with fast connections. The other two categories are the roster/software from EGS and finally the shoes...they will only be in their own zip file. Each folder in the four categories is labeled with exactly what the mod is...with pictures to show how amazing these files are. I really hope you understand what work went into this...it took all night...but I am proud of the fact that this is probably the best uploaded package for NBA2K9 Mods on the Internet. Please give thanks to EGS because they are the ones that created ALL OF THE FILES, and I'm fine with whatever because I know that this is just the beginning of mods for this game.


For a request, I am desperately searching for a truly authentic Michael Jordan and the Bulls of the 90's mod...NOT A TEXMOD...but an .iff file. Also, something awesome would be if someone could come up with a cool mod for the new BROOKLYN NETS...that would be killer! Maybe have Jay-Z on the team or something...I don't know...I just think it could be a really unique MOD. My message to EGS is this...please help us out with the technology that created these mods that I organized together for you. I am pretty positive that I'll be seeing these files posted by you around the Internet...because you know have a total English translated package...so if you are going to do that...I don't care...just please help us out with the details of how you did these mods...because I, like a ton of people around the web, want to check out what we can do on this amazingly realistic game. So, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...PM me or some of the moderators on this site with the information on how you created these files. Thanks.

the only thing that filefront did was abbreviate the team gear files....Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavs, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, LA Lakers, New Orleans Hornets, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors (all away uniforms) and the Minnesota Timberwolves have both home and away...the colors are incredibly vibrant...so get them all.

Hey Kris, I saw your message. No, I actually didn't ask for permission because I didn't really feel it was necessary. I did all the leg work...because you actually have to download from their site with everything being in Chinese...english translation will default the download because their server won't communicate...but I still was able to get everything together. So, if they have it free to download off their site in China...and I just happen to be able to access it by using Chinese...I see nothing wrong with that. Most importantly, I have said from the beginning that this is their work...NOT MINE...and I was merely able to translate this all into a organized and easy to use version for the English user. If they were selling these things on their site in China...and I did the same thing...then, we could have an ethical issue...but that's not the case. I have too much praise for the work they have done with these mods in just the few months that NBA2K9 has been out...to even think that I was doing anything wrong. I just hope that they will help us out in getting this software to break an .iff file. You can't tell me that wouldn't be cool.

So, to answer your question...no I didn't ask permission. I gave them the full credit for the work...and I'll take the credit of being the agent that brought there work overseas. I hope you enjoy this...and I will gladly talk to them when they contact me...because I have nothing but praise for these guys and the work they have done. I just wish we could work together to create some really great mods. Hope that makes sense...

Hey I'm leaving for work...and I won't be back till later. I am uploading the full zip of the players in just a sec...so that should be up for everyone. If you can all you need to download are the 4 rars that begin EGS with all the words as one. There's ROSTERSandSoftware.rar, (going up in a second==>) EGSPlayersandTeamPatches.rar, EGSShoeMods.rar, and EGSTeamGearHomeAway.rar,...those are the 4 ones you need if you can get them. I put the smaller ones on there for people that wanted to try it out or had slower connections.

The shoes that you keep on mentioning at the Chinese website or at the EGS site are just individual samples only, it was actually different shoes on the one that they are going to release "official release" which one of the member here who will released later.. CHNxiaoju. The shoes that are available there at the Chinese website are the first releases that they come up and release it for individual players only, it was actually a compilation of different shoe patches created by diff members there.. however they are going to release a full package very soon...

The chinese patchers also work in court?
I think the courts of 2k9 are very good (especially stadia), but the floor have poor textures...

I really appreciate the effort by EGS. I can see all the shoes fine but it didn't auto assign them to the players, don't know if that was or wasn't supposed to be like that.

is ther a way to make XBOX Controller Buttons PC & XBOX Layouts patch in iff format? i dont like the texmod thing.

I took the files but it is not like you wrote, it changes NOTHING! I have the German Version of the Game,
I bought it 2 months ago and as a Rockets Fan I'm happy with the game but pissed of the wrong jersey of
my favorite team. I took those files, for example that Rockets away jersey, ua023.iff is the name of the
file. But in my 2K9 directory there are no files with that names, so it doesn't overwrite the other iff, and
in the game still everything like it was. So what I should do to get the files into my game?

was anyone able to make the accessory patches appear? i was successful in replacing faces and shoes but i cant get the accessories to appear.

I hope they will do a Rockets Home Jersey, cause in the game
the jersey is so wrong, I don't understand how people can make
wrong jerseys in a great game? Are they blind?
But this files are great, hope for new ones like the courts, for
example: Hornets got also a wrong court in the game.
And Textmod don't work for my game, so but the iff works
