i must agree that 2.5 is not good as it's earlier incarnations. too many points in the paint

To be honest, v2.5 is better than previous versions in overall. I find v2.5 pro is actually more challenging than v2.0 pro. However, points in paint is definitely higher than before. I am not sure is it something related to the team profiles tendencies, tempo, mid range etc..., it seems like the computer tends to shoot more inside than previous version. Other than that, everything else is perfect to me

version 2.5 is perfectly balanced to be played on pro level due to the new overall ratings.people tends always to play higher level believing that allstar level is completely suitable for their tastes and skills.
i'm just repeating for a long time that version 2.5 means to be played on pro level : with the previous 2.0 or 1.0 i played all the time on all star where the challenge was very satisfying.
Now with the new tendencies pro level is a must ..trust me..you will be rewarded.
BTW coach profiles are the same of the previous version you can check them, i changed only offensive tempo for a few teams.

just played two games on pro with chicago bulls. crushed the nuggets 32 points in my favour, then easily disposed of boston with 21 points in my favour. this isn't challenging for me, even though gameplay looks better - they shoot from outside, and from midrange, and only drive to the paint when you make mistakes and open up a lane. but my fg% is always above 60 (i played pro with earlier versions), and in these two games was above 64. their fg% is around 37 to 39 percent

I played the same game in pro difficulty (clutch factor off) and the stats are more realistic with better pip. But it was a little bit easy, the cpu couldn't steal very well and the fouls are not many enough, I think (especially reach-in). I will turn the clutch factor on to see if the game may be more challenging and realistic.

For me, all star is perfect for difficulty, but i would like to see players getting tired and about the fouls...
The play is really realistic, i like it

so play all star? maybe your better solution.

yeah, but when i play all star guys just go inside over and over again, they have like 60-65 points in the paint and they shoot around 25 3's and maybe 4 or 5 mid range jumpers. they just don't shoot from mid-range.
Sat Feb 28, 2009 5:59 pm
And about the stamina? Players can play 2 quarters w/o getting tired

other news
The Nuggets will sign guard Jason Hart next week
The Celtics announced today that they have signed free agent guard Stephon Marbury. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed, though two NBA sources said before Marbury cleared waivers that he would sign for the prorated veteran minimum of $1.3 million for the rest of the season.

A question: If i update my 2.5 play with the new 3.0, its applied to association mode or need to start a new association?
Thanks again! Im playing at this time with 2.5 roster and 2.2 settings PRO and im enjoying a lot!
Maybe the stamina (players never get tired) is the bad thing

I hope Rotations update changes it!
Btw, your work in the game is incredible, keep going! and thanks again & again!

i know juza hates mentioning the sliders but: i've put cpu mid range shooting to 52, turned clutch factor on, and put stamina for both to 44. decreased reach-in to 50, and increased shooting foul by 5. playing on pro.
it's challenging now. played three games. cpu scores 34-37 points in paint. they shot 42% then 46% then 50% from the field, and i shot 46% then 52% then 48%. used to blow them by 25 points, now we are on par in the last few minutes. i won in all three games but it was close.

sliders are a personal choice to suite your tastes bro. on the other side, these rosters are specifically designed to work without using any kind of them cause every tendency has been developed at default. proof of it ? stats at pro level are perfectly in the range, at least you can use those sliders to avoid cpu cheesing on all star but we are trying to fix it

.
Personally i find more exciting to play on all star even if cpu tends to abuse of you sometimes.
then, i repeat, it' s a personal choice.
