i dont know if you noticed my posting patterns Modifly, that if i start working on a patch i don't comment or look at other patchers threads on that span... it's because i am not competing with any one else other than myself to make my patches better... i only compare my patches to the source pic i base it on... i'm not even the kind of patcher that will brag that he made a "much better version than (insert patcher name here)" yet he keeps using that other patcher's work he belittles as base for his own so-called "better" patches, like that of urh28 below for instance.

but since you linked the thread and i saw it was kevlahnota2's thread, i can only say positive things about him since he is one cool dude that helped me in PM and is also a countryman of mine... and that if you think his mj is better then it's all cool with me...

and as for if your eyes are playing tricks on you then the only suggestion i could think of is download all the mj patches you could see, play them all ingame, and choose the one you prefer... problem solved...

hold on, please dont get me wrong Glen.. I must admit that I totally forgot about your patching discipline.. that you dont comment nor compare your patches to others.. that you dont compete with anyone else rather than yourself in order to perfect your patches.. that you dont look at any other patches except from the raw pic that you use as a base.. I really did forgot about this and let myself loose by posting the link, but believe you me, I did it without any bad intentions at all. I just thought that it might help you improve your MJ in some aspects, that is really all there is to it. Nothing more than that, simply it. So please acknowledge my purposes and please forgive me for being so forgetful. At first I was slightly in higher favor of that MJ more than yours, but now that I've seen a bigger pic in your release post, you completely changed my mind. You are still the best. So no need to download all MJs and test them in my game because I now know which one I want to have in my 2K9 directory.

What I know for a fact though and this fact I will never forget, is that you NEVER brag that your patches are better than someone elses, that you dont use patches which are made by somebody else in order to make your patches better and call it yours (except the tattoo you released with OJ Mayo, which was made by Killer Crossover aka OG, and you ALWAYS give full credits to the original author whenever you use something).

Seriously speaking though, I dont know what you saw over at urh28's "little thread", and I most definitely do not know that you are "half filipino-spanish and chinese and that i can understand the language". I'm not going to go deep into this because I haven't read what he wrote (and obviously I cant read Chinese), but I think I can guess where this story is going.

oh and urh28, keep talking smack about me on your little thread and i'll fucking go there personally to shut you up...

I'm taking a wild stab that whatever he wrote is pretty mind blowing because I've never seen you this angry before. Never. And I dont want to see you angry either, everybody is upset when a guy as nice as you is mad.

an advice, if you want to compare "your" work to another and brag that yours is better... at least try to make "your" patch 100% yours from the ground up ... it will give you a better understanding on how to respect another patcher's work better, as far as i'm concerned, "your" mj is still ken-fly's... slapped with you're bhed then suddenly it's all urh28's patch. amazing! you fail at seeing the whole picture... guys like raymond, wtferrell, Pdub, Ken-Fly and the others who tried an MJ headshape would know how hard it is to make a complete cyberface in 2k9 which you obviously wouldn't... with all that being said, IMO Ken-Fly's mj is still much superior than yours...

i will consider your suggestion on my mj and apply it on the next version which i will probably work on when a fully functional roster edit finally surfaces...

thanks Kris, i forgot to add that to the CONS Kris, you really couldn't edit the name ingame, you could do it via hex or with a custom roster but that would defeat the purpose of a "newb-friendly" version now would it... if you want the hex or roster version you could ask kevlahnota2 and raymond for it... i owe them a lot for sharing the knowledge for such procedures, hope this info helps...

a.) punch a clown (although it maybe therapeutic, it still does not resolve anything)
b.) pretend it didn't happen even though you caught the dude red handed in which his ego could swell up to the point that other cool patchers in the community who patch for fun would also be bad-mouthed by him down the road
c.) confront the dude (which is what i did )
d.) curl up on your bed and cry yourself to sleep

alright, i just got back from a well deserved vacation at my cousin's place... i started a player patch before Pdub broke the tutorial on how to edit the headshape for 2k9 so the player patch temporarily got stuck in the back burner to make way for the "newb friendly" version of MJ... since MJ "newb friendly" version is already released and i am back home, i get to resume work on him...

he is non other than the dude below...

One thing for a fact though, his jaw and chin area looks weird and his eyes are too small. In the large pic he looks awesome so it could be because of the angle you took the screen in.

thanks Modifly, also agree on the points you mentioned on the default roy... but for some reason, to quote someone you might know... "my eyes might be decieving me" as the texture update kinda corrected the things you noticed for me when i was testing it in game... if my eyes did infact decieve me then i'll try to edit his headshape down the road, no worries...

haha wassup Aivaras, long time no talk... don't worry man, 90% of all the patches i've released as of this writing were classic players reflecting on their playing prime days... i even started on a kareem abdul-jabbar until someone discovered (i think it was twnlove if my mind serves me right) that he is already hidden on the game files so i scrapped him, i have larry bird in queue but i plan on making a playing prime version of him and not the default old larry bird that 2k9 made, still looking for some good hairshape to fit him though... as for charles, i'll see what i can do ol' pal...
