No its nothing too radical, more of a tidy up of the original one that comes with the game. I also took away the "2K" bit in the middle, I think it makes it a little more tidy looking.
Although to display this you need to do another mod (with a transparent square) where the 2K sign is on the original scoreboard.
Here's what it looks like if the second mod isnt done
And here's what it looks like after the second mod
Here are the links to the tpf files for Texmod
Scoreboard &
blank section
Might be of use to someone until they can be re arranged and moved around.

I'm sorry. I haven't seen a patch I wanted to install yet until now. How do you do it? I know it involves texmod. Can you center the NBA logo better too, it's too much to the right. But nice patch.

you better make a new scoreboard (TNT, ESPN), not to modify original...

The NBA logo is in the center (of where it sits) but because the original 2K one sits at an angle it looks offset a little.
All you do is gt a hold of text mod, choose the nba2k9.exe and then choose the two mods that I posted then click run. It will then load up with these mods.

At the moment because its only visual mods that can be done its a little hard to do anything other than little mods at the moment to anything. Nothing can be moved around so doing it any differently would make the Scoreboard even bigger than it already is.
If and when someone brighter than me comes up with something that moves the scoreboard around i'll be more than happy to make up the likes of TNT and ESPN logos.

Ok, I ran texmod, selected nba2k9.exe, and put your two files under package mode/package name and hit run and the scoreboard did not show up. What did I do wrong? And since you know how to do transparency, can you make the white circle and blue circle under the player and blue arrow when he is off the screen transparent? It'd make it more realistic.
