Random fact: I wanted to change LeBron's name to "LeBron B King" if I won the 2022 championship. Aside from not winning, I don't think the game would let me do that anyway.

Awesome to see you back on top after such a fantastic season. That was certainly an interesting Finals with Blake Griffin ehaving quite the last hurrah and more triple doubles from Perko. Griffiths was a little quiet early on in the series but it was nice to see him cap things off as the top performer in Game 5.
badreligionau wrote:Phil89 wrote:Stan Griffiths won a ring in his rookie season? How many #1 picks have done that in history I wonder.
That's a good question. I think Tim Duncan did it in his sophomore season, but I'm guessing you'd have to go back a number of years if that person does exist.
Andrew? Can you answer this one?
Magic Johnson is the only one to do it to date.

Great work winning it all. Nicely done balancing minutes between three marquee PF's. The Griffiths era is off to a great start. It's also satisfying to see LeBron finish without a ring - even with a stint in Denver.
Martti. wrote:So, that's it? No 'real' players in the league left?
Great season, turning that miserable season into a championship. You did good by signing Blake, listening to your followers really pays off. Griffiths better not have a sophomore slump.

LeBron retiring without a ring is pretty hilarious, especially when you consider the fact that he was in the league for more than two decades.

This brings up a good point. Just curious, do you know if the game lets you change the names of the generated rookies/players (I know you can't change the names of the real ones)? If not, what can you modify on them?

So, Perko is in for another ride, great. Your picks are going to be busts though.
Martti. wrote:KD and Rose are my bet.
Good that you were able to lock up Perko for two more. I'd say use those picks to get some player with experience in a package deal. Though you have been fortunate with those late picks (Jesus), but they haven't panned out in the long run.

I think they should only do it for generates though. I'd imagine that the ability to change real players names would create issues of slander from people who are a little less responsible. I could see a lot of LeBron haters changing his jersey to read "Frozen 1"

Just wondering, have you ever had James Harden on your team?

Yeah, something along the lines of NBA 2K12's editable draft class facilities would be good.

Prologue
The Denver Nuggets enter the 24-25 season in a familiar situation with different players. You know that the championship they won last season was the first without either Carmelo Anthony of J.R. Smith? It's a new era on the throne and the Nuggets will be looking to stay there as long as possible.
Both Borislav Perko and Taylor MacKenzie answered their critics, showing they've both lost nothing, while Stan Griffiths was the story of the 23-24 regular season. The almost-MVP-rookie broke records and dominated the league; but now he's a known entity. How will he do in his sophomore season? History says he will go into a slump, as that's what happened with Taylor MacKenzie and George Power, but he'll be looking to reverse that.
What will make this Nuggets side great is their bench. Dwight Howard comes in as a formidable replacement for the explosive Blake Griffin. Derrick Rose is an upgrade over the Nuggets previous third-string point guard Bartholomew Myer. How will these two acquisitions affect the game of reigning 6th man of the year, Vince MacMahon?
Will the Nuggets go on to dominate this season? Season 16 is coming up!

Gonna jump on the Griffiths-train for this season. Along with DeMar,

Dominique and Gerald Wilkins played a season together in Orlando, after which they both retired. The Van Arsdale twins, Tom and Dick, also played their final year together in Phoenix.
