Very true, nobody compares to his airness at the moment.

I saw that and died a little inside.

Power certainly had the more impressive showing. Hope one of your All-Stars takes home the MVP.

I saw it in the game and thought "oh, Andrew should really talk to EA about that"

I ended up controlling the Rookies for the entire game, so Perko was used rather sparingly. Igor Martin took most of his minutes.

.PorkyJoker.o6 wrote:Wow! Power with 15 boards! Nice to see that!!
Kill Igor Nolan! Power should be MVP!

He had 15 points, but I think 7 is still good for 3 quarters of play. He would have gotten that MVP if it wasn't for Igor Martin drawing every single foul.

And he's a Power Forward

lol at some white dude, who clearly needs to brush his teeth more often, wears 23 in Chicago.

George Power; he's the man whose name you'd love to touch...
BUT YOU MUSTN'T TOUCH!
His name sounds good in your ear
But when you say it,
You mustn't fear
Coz his name can be said by anyone...

...Yes, it reminds me of that episode too. Needless to say, you might see a few Simpsons references in his headlines.

Axel. wrote:I order you shoot shoot Igor Martin in the head!!! How dare he have a big mouth and disrespect MJ!

All joking aside, sucks to see Power foul out, but still, he had a solid game. (Y) Perko was pretty quiet though.

Well, the Sophomores were controlled by the CPU and Martin stole most of Perko's minutes. I swear Power was getting called for everything.

I wonder if I could simply change his jersey number...

Houndy wrote:Igor Martin would get shot in Charlotte... By MJ and Scottie :o

I really hope the Bulls don't have a number 33 on their side. That would be enough to make anyone's blood boil.

All-Star Weekend: The All-Star Game

West continue dominance

Image

It's easy to see why the Western Conference teams have better records, as the West conquered the East 88-73. The West team had all 5 of the current MVP competitors (Stanley Alston, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Rudy Gay and Ollie Rose), as well as the reigning MVP J.R. Smith. But the All-Star game MVP would be none of them; instead it was a man by the name of Andris Biedrins. He was 1 rebound off a double-double for the night, as well as top scoring for the West with 18. Rudy Gay showed off his versatile game with 15 points. Stanley Alston contributed with 13, while Denver's Kevin Durant chipped in with 10.

For the East, the top score honours were tied with Tristan Lehmann and Rajon Rondo both scoring 22. They both also had a double-double (Lehman 10 rebounds, Rondo 10 assists). But apart from those two, the only other scoring help came from Milwaukee guard Eric Gordon, who scored 12.

Biedrins is arguably the most surprising All-Star Game MVP since Tyler Hansbrough.

----------------------------------------------------

EAST vs WEST

WEST: 88 (Biedrins 18, Gay 15, Alston 13)
EAST: 73 (Lehmann 22, Rondo 22, Gordon 12)

All-Star Game MVP: Andris Biedrins 18 points 9 rebounds 2 assists

Rebounds

WEST: Biedrins 9
EAST: Lehmann 10

Assists

WEST: Curry 4
EAST: Rondo 10

----------------------------------

The Denver Contigent

Image

Kevin Durant: 11 points 5 rebounds 1 assist 1 block 3 steals

Image

J.R. Smith: 8 points 2 assists 1 steal

----------------------------------

Well, surprise! I kind of threw you guys another curve ball with this one I guess. With all the MVP caliber players in my side, I got the award with the dude deemed unworthy. I secretly like when that happens ;)

Next up will be a 5 game summary

Re: Denver Nuggets - The Next Level

That was definitely unexpected, but arguably more interesting for the story than your guys dominating the game. Good to see they had their moments though.

Hello. I'm new here. Do you still accept NLSC Draftees? If yes, where are the forms I could fill up? Thank you and God bless.

501stJointFighterWing, Live 10 and NLSC draftees?

Yeah. I figured you do a lot of that here. You know, where users fill up their own forms, make a custom rookie created for them...

Wed Sep 15, 2010 2:15 am

501stJointFighterWing, I know what is the NLSC rookies... Never heard about NLSC rookies in this dynasty...

Re: Denver Nuggets - The Next Level

Wed Sep 15, 2010 2:19 am

1) Oh yeah. Figured it out, 2017 season and still no NLSC rookies. I once did a PSP dynasty (Live 08) that reached 2020.

2) You don't need to mention my username everytime.

3) T-Mac 2.0 rocked in his first seasons. Why bench him now?

This isn't PC, you're not allowed to make your own draft classes in Live 10.

EDIT: Biedrins MVP? Alright. :applaud: At least Durant and Smith got some decent stats. (Y) Can't wait for the next summary. :)

Only in 2k for consoles you can edit drafts.

If Biedrins is MVP of All Star game...... The league must suck

We can't DBF edit NBA Live on consoles; that's PC only.

Only on 2k games you can edit the draft classes for consoles like Xbox or Ps3
You can edit on Live using computers.

I always enjoy when the role players step up. If the same guys are always dominating the game, it tends to get a bit boring... except when Jordan did it of course ;)

Smith and Durant probably were out of the running since their positions had the most depth. I tend to like to give everyone pretty evenly distributed minutes... even if it's to the detriment of my Denver players.

There's no way I can get the DBF file from my PS3. I'd love to have NLSC rookies, but because of the aforementioned and the fact that I'm completely inept when it comes to DBF editing means it won't happen. If I start an NBA Live 06 dynasty, I'd like to give it a go... but for this one, it's going to be all random generated players with bad moustaches

I don't think it's so much that the league sucks, but moreso the Eastern Conference sucks. That and I like giving role players spotlight.

1) As I said before, it's something I would have loved to do, but it's kind of impossible on a console since you can't code on it.

2) Some people feel the need to address via username, otherwise there could be the assumption that their posts are directed towards me.

3) T-Mac 2.0 was indeed great in the initial stages, but he happens to be the most inconsistent and inefficient shooters on my squad. When I put him in my team, I feel the need to take heaps of shots with him because of his rookie year. This proves to be to my detriment, hence I use him very sparingly.

If you want to be in a rookie class, perhaps you could post something on the "how your dynasty/franchise is going" thread and someone could let you know.

Anyway, I'm glad you're showing such an interest in my dynasty. You've obviously read back pretty far and I'm very appreciative :)

He probably could have but I thought I'd use the depth I had at the 2. Stanley Alston and Ollie Rose are way too good to give DNPs to in the All-Star game.

5 Game Summary

Despite these 5 being split up by the All-Star Weekend, Denver lost no momentum whatsoever winning all 5 and extending their winning streak to 8. The Nuggets were comfortable against the Hornets, Sixers and Bucks, but encountered tougher games against the Wizards and the feature game, the Hawks:

Nuggets sink Hawks in OT

Despite needing an extra period, the Denver Nuggets came out winners by 11 points against the Hawks. The final score was 96-85 as the Nuggets were led by J.R. Smith and Kevin Durant. Smith was on fire in the overtime period and ended up with 30 points, while Durant wasn't far behind with 29 of his own. Yao Ming was the only other double-figure scorer for Denver with 10.

For the Hawks, All-star selection Marvin Williams dominated the game and was named the best on the court with 31 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Russell Westbrook had a strong showing as well with 17 points and 5 assists. Edmund Vicett scored 13, while defensive powerhouse Tyrus Thomas achieved a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Atlanta dominated on the boards with 3 seperate players getting 10 or more rebounds, but their shooting let them down in the end.

Fitting in
Image
Trading a big presense like Melo could have proven to be detrimental to the Nuggets; to Kevin Durant's credit though, he's fitting in very well to say the least. He had a huge game against the Hornets with 54 points.

Career Night?
Image
Yao Ming was unbelievable against Philadelphia with numbers of 24 points and 27 (that's right, 27) rebounds. Yao might be in the twilight of his career, but his size alone will always make him a threat to opposing teams.

Then there's Smitty
Image
J.R. Smith got his second 30 of the round against the Milwaukee Bucks.

What Could Have Been
Image
When George Power was facing off against the Wizards' Taj Gibson, you'd have to think they'd wonder what could have happened if they didn't accept the trade. George Power seems like the steal of the draft as he fell in the second round to the Wizards, but Denver acquired him for Taj Gibson, Sam Conners and their second pick. This now seems like a lopsided trade now "Max" is the front runner for the top Rookie honour.

Another 5 game summary will be up next. Now the season is past the halfway point, the playoffs are well and truly in sight. With the count down to NBA Elite 11, I'd love to make the 10th season before it comes out. Hopefully I can get there with all the games played.

I've read the past few pages of this, and I have to admit this is pretty damn epic.

Trading Melo for Durant was a good choice, I mean, Durant has more years in him even if Melo is the more experienced one. Durant can be, if not already, legendary.

Yao is always going to be a gun cause' of his size.

J.R. Smith has always been one of my favourites to play with on NBA :) Very cool seeing him as a MVP.

Great job badreligionau!
