He is. It's not a good Mills by any stretch of the imagination. ;)

Really? Patrick Mills? That guy? By the way, those Bobcats J look turrible.

It's been awhile since I've checked in here, but it's good to see that you're still dominating the league for the most part. (Y)

I'm a big fan of the continuing dynasty. Funnily enough my longest lasting dynasty was also with the Nuggets, back with Live '04 when Melo was a rookie :P Some of my best Live moments were with that dynasty. Although I think it only lasted about 5 or 6 seasons. Although it lived on for another 8-9 seasons in Honor Glow's Lakers' one once he integrated my dynasty dbf file with his and others to give my players new life.

Good to hear. (Y) This might be the first Dynasty HOF inductee to run the full 25 seasons...I expect it will be the longest running, if it isn't already.

Andrew, Honor Glow's Live '04 Lakers' dynasty lasted 15 years  But it wasn't updated nearly as much as this one.

I'm hoping this one can go the distance. I also like some of the most recent features (Y)

I wonder what badreligionau is doing with the reserved spot, but it will probably be as epic as a porno mustache!

I stand corrected. :) So long as badreligionau remains enthusiastic about it, I reckon this one will surpass it though; no disrespected intended to HonorGlow.

It was definitely strange when I signed him and he looked like that. I think he's the only rookie on free agency who was apart of the FIBA championships. Apart from Andrew Bogut, all the Australian players apart of the national side look pretty wierd. I never played against Nathan Jawai, so I can't really comment on him.

As I said before, he's my designated silver fox

He definitely does look strange though if you've seen Patrick Mills in real life. One of those "what was NBA Live 10 thinking" things in this game.

Thanks Hyperize; it's great to continue winning, but I think this season I'm getting closer games because I haven't been able to play a whole bunch consecutively like I did in season number 8.

I first played with the Nuggets during NBA Live 06 and I kind of fell in love with that squad. Camby, K-Mart, Melo and Andre Miller formed one of my favourite starting lineups in recent memory. I was actually pretty sad when they traded Dre to Philly for Iverson, even though AI was a great player and everything.

I really want to do the same kind of thing with my dynasty that you did with HonorGlow, but it'll prove to be particularly arduous since I'm playing from a PS3. I looked at the DBF editor and it did my head in

The mystery has now been solved. The quest for personal glory (AKA: The Black Mamba Challenge)

Always great to get praise from guys who have multiple dynasties in the HOF section like yourselves. I personally want to play 10 seasons before this thread becomes 1 year old. Outside of that, I can't see why I wouldn't pass HonorGlow's previous mark of 14. That'd be a huge achievement though.

Nice that you add the Black Mamba Challenge, don't go for 81 man 80 is enough :P

Jennings can break all of those!!

Erm, screw 81, go for 100 :cheeky:

I'm sure Melo or JR can do all of those challenges. Good Luck. :)

Carmelo and JR will contend for some of those accolades.

Nice idea for keeping things interesting. I can see you breaking the 12 threes with Smith and possibly the four conseuctive 50+ games with him as well, though I'm guessing you'll save 81 for Melo if you can.

Didn't you hit 13 threes with Shannon Brown?

After I wrote that challenge down, I realised how farfetched it would be for me to get 81 with one player, considering I don't score a whole lot more with my team during the game. So that might stay in tact.

Martti. wrote:Jennings can break all of those!!

He is definitely a possibility for atleast one, but you're right; he could give all of them a go.

Houndy66 wrote:Erm, screw 81, go for 100 :cheeky:

I think Wilt's record will remain untouched... particularly since I'm playing 7 minute quarters

Thierry. wrote:Carmelo and JR will contend for some of those accolades.

I think in the end it probably will boil down to either J.R. or Melo. However, I think Jennings is an outside chance... and Billups is good at both shooting 3s and stealing the ball, so you never know.

Andrew wrote:Nice idea for keeping things interesting. I can see you breaking the 12 threes with Smith and possibly the four conseuctive 50+ games with him as well, though I'm guessing you'll save 81 for Melo if you can.

You're right, I'd love to have Carmelo reach the 81 but at the moment, I think 81 for an individual in 7 minute quarters is going to be something that will require a whole lot of ball hogging. Generally not the way I play, but if one guy gets hot, I wouldn't count it out either.

Martti. wrote:Didn't you hit 13 threes with Shannon Brown?

You would be correct with that Martti, But the Black Mamba Challenge is an exclusive to page 24, which means I'm looking to achieve Kobe's numbers on... Kobe's number.

November 2017 Review

Team Summary

It was yet another dominant start from the Denver Nuggets. Despite a loss to league cellar dwellers Indiana, it has been smooth sailing for much of the way. Brandon Jennings' addition to the side has given them a potent 3-man offensive punch, however when it comes to the big shot, Denver looked no further than Chauncey Billups. In his 20th year, his clutch rating is still through the roof and still has a lot to offer the organisation at age 41.

The month of November also saw the rise of a rookie named George Power. Seen as somewhat of an after-thought in the Washington deal for cap relief, he has shown plenty of potential in the game time he's been given.

Overall, Denver are 14-2, which places them first in the league. It seems like the Nuggets almost have a chip on their shoulder after not breaking the Bulls' 72-10 record last year. At the rate they're going, they look to give it a good shake this season as well.

6.3 spg by CP3? The NBA should check his closet for other stolen items.

I would actually really like to collect the NBA Live series games, but I don't think I could find 03 anywhere. I only just managed to pick up 06 off eBay.

Thanks Thierry, it means a lot you saying that since you're one of my original followers :)

And to be honest, I'm not even sure how many more seasons I have left of this one.

I know, it's a glitch with the dynasty mode that I'd like to see fixed next time around.

CP3 is definitely my kryptonite in 2017... since Nash and Kobe have retired and now I have Yao on my team.

Thanks Andrew. It's kind of funny because I thought being so dominant might get boring for both me and the readers, but so far it's still been fun for me and I'm happy with the feedback I get so I guess I was proven wrong in that sense. Right now my biggest challenge is distributing minutes over a shortened game.

5 Game Summary

After a dominant start to the year, Denver have kept up their winning ways going 5-0 during this 5 game round. Their winning streak currently stands at 8 after solid wins over Sacramento and Cleveland, while absolutely dominating Oklahoma City and Charlotte. The feature game against Minnesota was a different story, however, it managed to have a similar ending:

Different game, same ending

Denver have once again come up with another last second victory, this time defeating the Timberwolves 89-86. J.R. Smith was the shining light for Denver as he scored 57 points in a return to MVP form. However, the game would once again be decided by a clutch play from Chauncey Billups:

phpBB [video]

Billups ended up with 16 points, being the only other double-figure scorer for Denver apart from Smith.

The Wolves managed to have a more team oriented game with 4 players in double-figures, led by guard Cameron Robin, who scored 27. Curt McNamara had 23, while Kevin Durant was relatively quiet with 16. Al Jefferson was the other scorer in double-digits, as he completed a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards.

Despite having a pretty good game, the Wolves had no answers for Smith. His 57 points gives him a nice start to December and sends the league a message; never forget about the reigning MVP.

J.R. Smith has gone 4 consecutive games of 50 or more:

MIN: 57
OKC: 56
CHA: 50
CLE: 54

He starts the month of December averaging 54.25 points per game. Can he go 5 games in a row with 50+?

It may have been Melo...
Image
At the beginning of this round, it looked like it could be Melo to equal Kobe's 4 straight 50s as he came extremely close with 49 against the Kings.

The Great Wall is back
Image
Yao Ming played for the first time outside of a Houston uniform against the Charlotte Bobcats. Despite the fact that his offensive game needs work, Denver now look downright scary with him in the side. Don't believe me? These are the numbers he got in one half of playing time:

6 points 13 rebounds 3 assists 1 block

It looks like the only thing that could stop Yao from being the league's dominant centre is his fitness.

At least you passed one of the challenges. I'd really like to see you pass 81 points, but with seven minute quarters, that's nearly impossible. Yao still dominates in rebounding, but his offensive game looks to have really declined. :(
