Good stuff. I'm an avid listener of SModcast, Tell 'Em Steve-Dave! and I've just started getting into the Peephole History series as well. Something to listen to along with music while I'm working on a patch or something else for the NLSC. The live shows they're doing at the moment are definitely entertaining.

Anyway, nice work as always with the recap. I'm sure Melo's scoring average will be up come Playoff time.

I really love the Evening with Kevin Smith dvds too.

Hopefully Melo's averages can pick up a bit as the season goes on.

It's definitely encouraging. I think with Brandon Jennings, the life of this dynasty could yet be extended because he's still got a few good years left in him I think... particularly if Billups can make it to his 20th season.

Yeah, I think that was a pretty cool coincidence myself :D

I usually use the video tag, but yeah. Thanks for covering that Andrew :)

Ok guys, I was thinking of making my signature debut on the Photoshop Lounge, but I figured it probably belonged in this dynasty. I got the idea for it when I was at work... I'm actually surprised I didn't think of it earlier. Anyway, it's of one of the most popular players from this dynasty. Here it is:

I was thinking of having a phrase like "some players are born great... others are generated" or something like that. Anyway, let me know what you think.

That looks great!

Try it maybe with a monochrome backround to Ty, not with the purple. Great idea anyway. (y)

Also glad that Jennings is working out. :)

Kind of like this?

I dunno why I chose the purple... I think I was inspired by the fact that he was playing against the Kings in the shot. Anyway...

Jennings has been a great buy :D

You should add that phrase about the generated players and add, "with porno mustaches." Jk.

The font is Myriad Pro. When I did my graphic design course back in the day, I always used Myriad because I knew dick about fonts and our teacher always wanted fonts that were in "harmony"... so the myriad fonts were the safest choice.

Badger wrote:Jennings -> Sixth Man of The Year

It could very well be that way

Axel13 wrote:You should add that phrase about the generated players and add, "with porno mustaches." Jk.

Only flaw with that is that Ty didn't have a porno stache :P

Yeah, I know it's been a while. I've been super busy lately. I only just got back from Sydney today. I have two games to play in my 5 game summary, hopefully I can get that done in the next few days :)

How did you get the pics of the players in the rows like you do for the season previews and playoff ones?

If you put the img tags right next to eachother without spacing them, it should work. Like this

Code:

5 Game Summary

During this 5 game summary, Denver went 4-1, dropping a game to the Pacers. Charlotte were spirited, but were unable to come up with the win, while The Nuggets ended the Suns winning streak at 7 after winning by 12. Golden State provided little resistence as Denver won by 14... but before that game was another close one against the Clippers. It's the feature game and you would not believe how this one panned out:

Melo's game and Chauncey's finish help Denver escape with win

Carmelo Anthony was absolutely on fire as he led his side to a 90-87 win. Melo scored 51 points in the game, as he was supported by usual suspects J.R. Smith (15) and Brandon Jennings (11). But this game will be remembered once again for Chauncey's contribution. He may have only scored 5 in the game, but with the score at 87 all, he once again came up with the play:

It was another master stroke by the man who's continuing to live up to his reputation.

For the Clippers, perenial MVP candidate Ollie Rose sparked his side with 30 points. Stan Morgan completed a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Denver's enemy Reuben Glanville also had a solid game with 14 points and 5 assists. Ricardo Carlos rounded out the scorers with 11 points.

Melo provided the play throughout the entire game; he also got the MVP chant... IN THE STAPLES CENTRE! But when it comes to the last shot of the game... only one man on the Nuggets team should be taking it at this point.

Against the Phoenix Suns, George Power flirted with a triple-double with a stat-line of:

20 points 10 rebounds 8 assists

Borislav Perko's label as the next big thing for Denver might be slipping away.

The third scoring option?
Image
Jennings had 21 points in Denver's losing effort to the Pacers. Him and Billups have been alternating starters this season and it appears to be arguably the most exciting rotation battle of this dynasty.

Melo appreciates the help
Image
Early in his career, Melo seemed to have the burden of carrying his Nuggets team. Now he has great help from multiple players... even guys like Nicolas Batum, who had 11 points in a quarter against the Bobcats. Melo himself scored 26 for the game to top the scorers.

Remember Pat Mills?
Image
Last season he was the 7th or 8th man for Denver... this season he has been warming the bench. His first game was this one against the Warriors. He had 3 points, 1 assist and 2 steals in the final quarter.

Rumour: It is believed that Yao Ming will make his comeback against the Charlotte Bobcats

Up next will be the report for the month of November. I'm hoping the updates will be more regular from now on. I even bought myself a new exercise book to record the dynasty stats and results in. I have 4 pages left of my current 64 page one.

The first page of it reads:

2012 November review

West Rookie of the Month: Taylor MacKenzie 18.7ppg 1.8 rpg 0.9 apg

Ah memories

Still dominant. Enjoyed that game-winner by Billups, or Mr. Big Shot I mean. As for keeping stats, I have my own notebook for that, though I've used up most of the pages. Hope Yao has a successful debut for you. (Y)

Great game against Pacers for Young Money. And Mr. BigShot buzzer beater  And Denver record after 15 games is awesome. (Y)

You and Phil definitely have some exciting games, it's great to see. (Y) At least Billups watched this one go in. ;)

Good to see Melo break out at a 50+ game as well.

Paddy Mills is going grey

When I saw the score was tied, i subbed him on thinking "surely not again"... But yeah, turns out he's still the man.

Yao's debut will be fun I think

Thanks Houndy66, the generated players I have add a lot to the experience I think.

I was disappointed I lost against the Pacers, but Jennings did have a nice game. Apparently Marcus Williams is a gun.

There's some great dynasties around in general at the moment and it makes me want to pick up the quality of my own.

I was thinking the same about Chauncey when I saw the replay. Not usually his move to watch the ball in the basket.

I'm hoping Melo has a few more like that; a part of me still wants to win an MVP with him.

Yeah, with all the oldies I have, it surprises me that he's the silver fox

24; it's a significant number for me this year being my age. However, it was the number of the Nuggets' number one tormentor Kobe Bryant. He has long since retired from the NBA, but his legacy of excellence and being the best player he can be will still live on.

For the duration of Page 24, I've decided to give myself a new challenge I haven't yet done in this dynasty. Since Kobe helped to set the bar during 2000s, I'm making it my mission to try and get over it. So what are the challenges for this page?

Here they are:
*81 points or more in a game
    *4 consecutive games of 50+ points [J.R. Smith (4)]
*12 threes or more in a game [Brandon Jennings Vs LA Clippers (16th December 2017)]
    *6 steals in one half
[/list]

Note: all records are for a singular player

Basically, this is an experiment I want to do with my team. I have a very team oriented game and I don't often go for individual glory in the stat game (unless that player is particularly hot). Will the quest to beat Kobe be to the detriment of my team? Or will the dominance continue. I figure I might have a stretch of say, 10 games to achieve this, since it's a challenge I'm doing for just page 24. Everything will go ahead as per usual as far as the layout of this dynasty; so that'll add an extra challenge itself.
