Okay people, here's how it's going work. Each two days or so I'm gonna post up the results of each round. I'll make predictions for each round, and once everyone who wants to be involved makes their selection then I will post the results, and so on. As always, playoff settings are 5-5-5-5.
Points System:
If you pick the correct series outcome (winner & games won and lost) = 3 points
if you pick the correct team to advance = 1 point
if you pick wrong team = 0 points
Prize:
Winner gains the right to "demand a trade" meaning you can demand a trade, and if you wish, select your destination and I will work a "fair" trade for both teams involved. The winner's trade demand exemption is available until their rookie contract expires (another few seasons away). The baller who gets 2nd has the right to "request a trade" meaning that you can request a trade based on either "starting spot", "more minutes" or another request (if I deem it acceptable) and I will do my best to find you a situation that meets your request, and of course it will have to be a "fair" trade for both teams involved. The 2nd place's trade request exemption is available only in the upcoming 2007/08 season. If you're not an NLSC baller then I guess you get the satisfaction of winning

and the highest 2 NLSC ballers will win the prizes.
Check out the playoff brackets below....

X's 1st ROUND PREDICTIONS:
Here is my 1st Round predictions. Please click on a team's name to go to their playoff roster. Note with my team, the Charlotte Bobcats, I will not play Melvin Ely, my playoff roster consists of Nene, and I will re-activate him once he is healthy.
WEST
(1) Sacramento defeats (8) LA Lakers 3-2
I think the backcourt of Kobe Bryant and Leo "Seraph" Reyes is going to give the Kings' fits on the defensive end, however in the end, the Kings' dominant frontcourt should make the difference with Brad Miller being the X-factor in this series.
(5) Houston defeats (4) Dallas 3-2
I also think that this will be another tight intra-state matchup. Mavs' swingmen Stackhouse and Daniels are nursing injuries but the series will be decided on the back of the team's superstars. Dirk for the Mavs and T-Mac for the Rockets, and can Dampier stop Yao? Rockets to take this one in 5.
(3) Minnesota defeats (6) Memphis 3-1
I just think that the T'wolves will have too much for the Grizzlies for some reason and win in 4.
(2) San Antonio defeats (7) Denver 3-1
Spurs are strong from top to bottom and really should have secured the No. 1 seed but fluttered late in the season. But this is the playoffs and I can't back against them. Spurs should win this one comfortably. I have them taking it in 4.
EAST
(1) Detroit defeats (8) Indiana 3-0
For all the history between these 2 teams, one would expect a tight matchup. Unfortunately for the Pacers, the Pistons are the superior team and will romp the Pacers in 3.
(5) Orlando defeats (4) Washington 3-1
Both teams have been up-and-down throughout the season, but it is time for Hill, Cat and Francis to finally have some playoff success. Magic in 4, and look out for the Melo-Sit NLSC matchup. Whose team will come out on top?
(3) New York defeats (6) Boston 3-1
Knicks just look too strong in this matchup of the Atlantic Division rivals. Knicks to advance comfortably in 4.
(7) Charlotte defeats (2) Miami 3-2
Now the series that could cause a boilover as I'm picking my Bobcats in 5 tough games. The key to this series is overcoming Nene's injury and containing Shaq. I'm expecting huge series from Okafor and Arenas, and in the end, I think that will be enough to advance to the 2nd Round.
Get your picks in guys....good luck and you'll need it....
