Patching the PS2 Disc

OK so here is the deal I have been patching live on the PC since 2003, now I just recently discovered ISO Buster for the PS2 game, and discovered that the PS2 version of Live 09 has alot of jerseys that arnt playable on the normal disc. I looked for something that resembled a teamgear dbf file but found nothing. Does anyone know if it is at all possible to "hack" or unlock the rest of the jerseys and if so HOW.

what jersey files did you find out of curiosity?

to unlock them you would need to edit the teamgear dbf equivalent file in the origDB folder....but I've never found a way to edit those database files for the PS2


you could replace the viv files of hidden jerseys with a normal home/away uniform, just make sure you use a hex editor to change the files inside the viv as well

well they have the euro 06 jerseys, Alt jerseys for the obvious teams like NJ and Char who's 2nds arnt playable, all of seattles throwbacks from previous games, St pats jerseys...ect I also tried to just add a jersey file, like giving OKC there actual jerseys and patching the game but it freezes the game when you play with that team.

well you cant do any texture modding on the ps2 since we cant touch the ssh files

What about porting in from another version , lets say I want the seattle sonics unis instead of the OKC practice Would it be possible to just move over the SEATHOME & SEATAWAY files from say the 08 version to the 09...... OH what the heck I'm gonna try it right now. also I might try the original DB folder too see if that effects the players in anyway cause if i go back to 07 it should at least put the missing 3rd jerseys in....im gonna try them both and post the results.

put the sonics back into 09 works good except the player names are across the bottom, Try to patch 07 to have 09 unis and courts but didnt work now attempting to put 09 unis and courts into live 05.

that def wont work since they changed the file formats in 07

07-09 you shouldnt have much issue with what you are trying to do

same with 06 and 05. but yea going from one to the other might not work that way
