Why is there no Legends pool on nba live 09?

Licensing issues. They can't just include anyone they want in the game when they're not currently on an NBA roster and the Legends pool has been getting thinner and thinner as deals with those players have expired. It would seem they've not been able to license those Legends at all for the Xbox 360/PS3 version, given that 2K has Legends rosters there might be some exclusive deals in place.

that's the one thing i like better about 2k this year is the they have the legends and live doesn't.

Assuming they don't have an exclusive deal, hopefully we'll see them return in Live 2010.
