Hi Andrew. I was wondering what are the correct settings in case I wanted to edit players from other teams using Season Mode. Let's say I started the season and there are trades from other teams. How can I make it realistic. For example. I have the twolves as my team and just today AI was traded to Detroit for Billups of course their could be changes in their jersey numbers.
Another thing that I want to remove is to stop the cpu from selecting those free agents that needed to be on a particular nba team. When I tried setting up the twolves. It told me that Nick Fazekas was added by the Lakers. In the real word this did not happen. I want to put a stop into this thing.[/b]
But it has something to do with controlling other teams... Because if the result is going the wrong way, you could cut simulation and redo it... Just like I do if I'm simming a play-off game against a much stronger team (of course, I do that only in tests, like seeing my custom made favorite team reach the rings)
Simulation Intervention only applies to the team you're controlling. You can only intervene in your own games, not games between two CPU controlled teams.
Well, his question made it look like there's sopmething like that in the next-gen version... With the ability to turn off the salary cap and to control CPU trades I thought that there are controllable interventions.
Hey Andrew I tried the settings that you suggested it seems that the cpu is still signing free agents from other teams. I used to like that option before in past versions of nba live where you can release a player from a certain team so that you could correct your current roster.
There's no way to disable that in NBA Live 09 but if you can modify CPU rosters you should be able to release those players from the CPU teams whenever they sign someone.
I don't think "Modify CPU teams" function is working properly. I was playing a dynasty mode with this function turned on but still I wasn NOT able to make changes in the CPU teams such as rotation, inactivating players, changing the order of players, releasing players from CPU teams and so on.
Is this another bug of NBA Live 09??? Can you guys plz go check out???
Thx heaps Andrew.
P.S. Btw it was tried on both default roster and up-to-date 365 roster but "modify CPU teams" function is still not working during dynasty mode... I'm just wondering if this is happening to just myself or to everyone else.
I'm also experiencing that problem where even when Modify CPU Rosters is 'ON' I am still not able to trade their players or change their rotation or Inactive list. It's very frustrating because can't fix up the issues the 365 updates have created and for some reason Monta Ellis is on the FA list and that was after the 365 update which had Billups and Iverson both in the starting 5(so it's not a super early update).
I'm guessing they placed Ellis on the Free Agents to accommodate Rob Kurz, since the Warriors currently have sixteen players under contract due to Ellis being placed on the suspended list.
