DNA Thing doesn't work

Postby Bynum MDE on Wed Oct 08, 2008 6:35 am

Hey guys

I bought live09 yesterday and i really like the game but the first time i played i registred to the DNA Stuff with the code but it never worked. It couldn't load the stuff.

Then the second time i started live they asked me again about the code, i wrote it in, but then it said that this code is already in use.

Please help me. I dont knoe what to do...

well apparently you can't play online without the new dna update so no online play until this gets resolved.

The DNA updates don't commence until the season begins, though Pastapadre has indicated there are a couple of updates available already, including the Oklahoma City Thunder jerseys.

problem is that the game prompts you to enter a code even after you already registered your code. if you try to re enter it, you are told that the code is already in use. and when you try to go into the 365 feature it tells you that you have to buy it with microsoft points or enter your code.. it makes no sense.

That's definitely a problem. It might be prudent for anyone who hasn't entered the code yet to hold off until we have an answer on this.

if i have the game then i won't enter the code anymore just to avoid this problem. i'll have to wait for the season to begin.

How do you access the dna thing? I haven't seen it yet.

It would appear that the issue has indeed been resolved. I've entered my code and it's working fine.

It should prompt you to enter the code the first time you bring up the main menu. If not, go to the Dynamic DNA menu and if you haven't entered a code yet, it will prompt you to do so.

i dont think its there. i think the dna that you got there is similar to nba live 08. i just checked the features on the nba live page.

Xbox 360 and PS3 have dynamic dna while the ps2 has the regular dna only.

NBA Live 365 is for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions only. You won't get the updates for the Playstation 2 version. Xbox Live is for the Xbox 360 only.

Still working fine for me too. From the main page:

Andrew wrote:Just passing along a message that EA Sports are aware of the issues with NBA Live 365 that were encountered yesterday and that they were the result of server problems. EA Sports are currently working on the problem and expect to have everything up to speed soon.

I didn't have any issues connecting to the NBA Live 365 service last night or this morning so it would seem the issue has been resolved, but if you're still having trouble by all means report it so that we can let EA know about it.

I've been given this message to pass on:

We’ve heard that there’s some confusion around NBA LIVE 365. I wanted to let you know that if you buy the game NEW, you’ll have a card in the case with a special code on it. That code is specific to your Gamertag / PSN name and gives you NBA LIVE 365 FREE all season long (starting October 27th). For those who do not purchase NBA LIVE 09 NEW, we’ve made it easy for you to get NBA LIVE 365. On both the XBOX 360 and the PS3, NBA LIVE 365 retails for 9.99. This can be purchased via the XBOX LIVE Marketplace or the Playstation Store. Currently, the price listing is correct on the XBOX LIVE Marketplace, but it’s incorrectly marked 19.99 on the Playstation Store. We’re working to get this corrected as soon as possible, but rest assured, the price is 9.99! We hope you enjoy NBA LIVE 09 made fresh daily all season long!

I had a look at the XBL marketplace earlier today and the listed price was 800 Microsoft Points.
