Talk about NBA Live 09 here.

Has anyone heard if there will be any Legends in Live 09. Maybe All-star teams from the past. I am hoping if they put legends in the game you can use them in season play. I always liked to play with legends for one season. Any info would be helpful.

They'll probably still be in the PS2 version but they will not appear in the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions.

The PS2 version also has Legends but as I said before, they aren't featured in the 360 or PS3 versions.

It's a matter of licensing. The Legends roster has been thinning since NBA Live 2001.

so in your opinion is it useful playing nba live 09 or is it better nba live old versions? as live 07 that was a great game for me.

Well, I wouldn't recommend NBA Live 09 on the PS2.

Not to get off topic and bring up 2K9 but that is one main reason why I'm getting more play out of that game......
Legends!
I know Andrew said it is legal issue or something but 2K must not have this same issue because they have tons of legends in their game already.
I can use those guys or create them all and take them into a season mode.
That is just awesome to play through an entire season with created legends and then still have th eability to play all games and not just the team you controll after you create these legends.
I'm really dissapointed in EA in that aspect espescially since I haven't been able to create these players since Live 06 do to CAP limitations not allowing full squads to be created.

I'd suggest they're holding out on adding the Legends to the 360/PS3 versions due to the depleted roster of players whom they still have under contract. They're probably content to leave them in the PS2 version since it's an established feature on that platform but have chosen not to include a depleted selection of Legends on the 360/PS3. Perhaps 2K has exclusive contracts with some of those Legends, or with other ventures (like the Synergy deal) the suits don't think it's financially feasible to go out and sign the Legends too.
