Since EA is quite famous for delays, I believe in Andrew's date.

It was in the press release EA sent me with the Finals sim and the first seven NBA Live 09 screenshots.

i would prefer the game to come out a few days after the season started. so EA would have time to include all the players, and we wont have another jamario moon incident. missing players kinda suck. plus, it gives them more time to work out the bugs. play it early, or better game? you decide.

Both the roster cutoff and release dates are set forth by the NBA, not EA.

so the NBA itself decides when EA releases its game? that is kind of retarded.... so, any players that arent under contract yet are not included. and we are SOL

i almost have my rosters finished for 08, for the 2nd time... if anybody wants them.

It's EA's game, but it's the NBA's license.

It could be true but for the moment I'm more inclined to believe the press release since similar releases the last couple of years have both revealed accurate dates.

Maybe the "release" for advance orders is Sept. but the release for display on stores is Oct.?

Unlikely. I'm inclined to think it was a tentative date or it's simply a mistake.

If last year's an indication, it could be anything from a couple of days to a couple of weeks later. The Xbox 360 version of NBA Live 08 came out here just a couple of days after the North American release.

I'm sure there'll be demos for both released so you can try before you buy.

I just hope when they release it they fix most of the bugs, get the size of generated rookies better, and add saving during the offseason.

100% bug free is too much to expect of most any game but I certainly hope issues such as the player indicator disappearing don't slip past QA.

Yeah Andrew... that disappearing player indicator bug was very annoying.

It would be released first week of October. I kinda liked the dna updates or the lineup updates. It matches the updated lineups on the nba web site.
